Police & Nurses’ P&N Bank Rebrand: What Customers Need to Know

P&N Bank says its refreshed logo and visual style will not change customer accounts, member numbers or contact methods. Here’s how the branding update differs from the proposed Bank Australia merger.

Police & Nurses is not changing to a new bank name in the branding refresh. P&N Bank says it has used the P&N Bank name since 2013; the announcement is about a refreshed visual identity. The bank said customers’ accounts, member numbers and contact methods would not change, and that no action was needed.

What is changing—and what is not

P&N Bank says the refresh updates its logo, colours, fonts and photography style. The bank describes the aim as keeping a recognisable identity while making it feel fresher, more inclusive and accessible. It also says it simplified graphic elements and adjusted colours with accessibility in mind. P&N Bank’s brand refresh page

This is a visual refresh, not an announcement that the bank is adopting a different name. P&N Bank says the organisation has used that name since 2013. Its history, as described by the bank, dates to 1969, when Perth-based police officers created a local banking alternative; nurses joined later, followed by mergers with other state-based credit societies. Does this change impact my accounts?

No. P&N Bank’s refresh FAQ says: “No. Your accounts, member number and ways you get in touch with us are not changing.” The bank also said it would remain customer-owned. P&N Bank’s brand refresh page

Do I need to do anything?

No action is needed because of the visual changes. P&N Bank says: “There is nothing you need to do as a result of the changes we’ve made.” P&N Bank’s brand refresh page

Where will the new branding appear?

The bank said the refreshed look would appear on its website and social media, in direct communications such as statements, letters and emails, and in marketing. Other updates were described as phased rather than simultaneous:

  • Internet banking and the mobile app were to be updated in the coming months.
  • Branches, uniforms, bank cards and product documents were to transition over time.

The refresh page does not establish that every digital or physical update has since been completed. It also said new branded cards had not yet started rolling out and that customers would be told when they were available; that statement is not confirmation of card availability today. Is this connected to the proposed Bank Australia merger?

No: the visual refresh and the proposed merger are separate developments. In an update dated 4 August 2026, P&N Bank said the organisations had completed initial due diligence and their boards had endorsed moving to regulatory applications. The bank said a member vote was expected in the first half of 2027, subject to required approvals and possible change. P&N Bank’s merger update

The proposal remains conditional. P&N Bank says that, if the merger proceeds, the current brands would continue initially, with an intended later transition to the Bank Australia brand. That potential future change is not the result of the visual refresh. P&N Bank’s merger update
