Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames launched on November 14, 2025, so it is no longer an upcoming preorder. If you are shopping now, compare the standard Elite Trainer Box, the Pokémon Center version, and the 36-pack Booster Display Box—and check each retailer’s current stock and delivered price before buying.
When did Phantasmal Flames release?
The Pokémon Company International lists November 14, 2025, as the Elite Trainer Box launch date, and its official news listing describes the expansion as available. The original preorder window has passed; any current purchase depends on remaining retailer inventory or later restocks. The official Elite Trainer Box listing and Pokémon’s news page are useful starting points, but neither establishes live stock at other retailers.
Which Phantasmal Flames product fits your purchase?
The main options documented in the official listings are two Elite Trainer Boxes and a 36-pack Booster Display Box. Compare pack count and included extras with your intended use, then check the actual total at checkout, including shipping and taxes. The available official information does not establish today’s prices, availability, market premiums, pull rates, or investment value.
| Product | Booster packs | What else is included | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Elite Trainer Box | 9 | Full-art foil Charcadet promo, 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player’s guide, dice, a coin, a collector box with six dividers, and a Pokémon TCG Live code card. | A bundled set of packs and accessories for a player or collector. |
| Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box | 11 | Standard ETB extras plus the Pokémon Center version’s exclusive distinction and special promo items, as described by the official showcase. | Someone who values the Pokémon Center variant and its additional packs or promo items. |
| Booster Display Box | 36 | Other included items: not stated in the cited Pokémon Center category listing. | A larger pack quantity; compare its total price with the ETBs rather than assuming it is better value. |

The expansion description highlights Mega Charizard X ex, Mega Gengar ex, Mega Heracross ex, and Mega Lopunny ex, but a product overview is not a guarantee that any particular card will be in a box.

What does the standard ETB contain?
The standard Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box is a mixed product: nine booster packs plus accessories and a Charcadet promo. Those extras can be useful if you need sleeves, Energy cards, dice, or storage; if you only want packs, compare the box’s total cost with other available formats instead of treating every accessory as equivalent to cash value.
What is different about the Pokémon Center ETB?
The Pokémon Center version is listed with 11 booster packs—two more than the standard ETB—and a Pokémon Center-exclusive distinction. The official showcase says it includes the standard ETB extras as well as its additional packs and special promo items. Verify the live product description and total price before purchasing, since those details do not establish current stock or a current premium.

How to check availability and avoid a stale preorder listing
- Open the retailer’s current product page for the exact product and edition. Do not rely on an old search result or a page that merely describes a past preorder.
- Look for a live purchase option and confirm that the product is in stock or explicitly marked for preorder. Pokémon Center says eligible preorder pages show “Preorder: Add to Cart/Basket”; this is a general policy, not confirmation that Phantasmal Flames is currently preorderable. Read Pokémon Center Support’s Preorder FAQ.
- Review the seller, item condition, shipping cost, taxes, and delivery estimate before placing an order. A product name or pack count alone does not establish a fair total price.
- For a Pokémon Center preorder, use a valid credit or debit card. Pokémon Center says an initial authorization may drop after 5–7 business days, the charge is taken when the order ships, and reauthorization may occur 3–5 business days before shipment. Its FAQ does not promise an exact shipping or delivery date; it notes that transit delays, including weather, can affect timing.
How to choose without assuming a bargain
- Choose the standard ETB if its nine packs and listed accessories suit your needs at the checkout total you can actually get.
- Consider the Pokémon Center ETB if you specifically want its variant and special promo items, and the live listing is available at a total you are comfortable paying.
- Compare the display box if you want 36 packs, but confirm the current contents and delivered price on its product page.
There is no supported basis here for predicting pulls or treating sealed product as an investment. Buy for the cards and accessories you want, and use live retailer pages—not old crawl-time prices—to make the price comparison.
