Prices reported shortly before Poco’s 17 March 2026 India launch placed the X8 Pro at ₹33,999, the X8 Pro Max at ₹41,999 and the Iron Man Edition at ₹43,999. Those figures came from tipster Paras Guglani and were repeated by several publications; they were not an official India price list in the sources available for verification. The launch has since taken place, so these figures should be read as historical leak and offer signals, not as current August 2026 checkout prices.
Leaked India prices and alleged launch offers
The clearest pre-launch breakdown separated RAM and storage rather than presenting one headline starting price.
| Phone | RAM/storage | Reported price | Alleged offer price |
|---|---|---|---|
| POCO X8 Pro | 8GB + 256GB | ₹33,999 | ₹30,999 after a reported ₹3,000 bank discount |
| POCO X8 Pro | 12GB + 256GB | ₹37,999 | ₹34,999 after a reported ₹3,000 bank discount |
| POCO X8 Pro Max | 12GB + 256GB | ₹41,999 | Not clearly specified |
| POCO X8 Pro Max | 12GB + 512GB | ₹45,999 | Not clearly specified |
| POCO X8 Pro Iron Man Edition | Configuration not established in the leak | ₹43,999 | ₹40,999 after alleged offers |
India Today, Mint, Gadgets 360, Beebom and other reports attributed the figures to the leak. The ₹3,000 reduction was described as a possible bank promotion, not a guaranteed reduction in the phone’s list price. Eligibility, card type, minimum transaction value, sale window and stock could all affect the final checkout amount.
What was known about the Iron Man Edition?
The existence of a POCO X8 Pro Iron Man Edition was supported by POCO’s global product material, which describes a black body with gold detailing, an Arc Reactor-style camera flash, a custom theme, a limited-edition box, an armour-like case, a custom cable and a Marvel-branded SIM-ejector pin: POCO’s official product page.

That confirmation is separate from the Indian price. The ₹43,999 figure, and the alleged ₹40,999 offer price, remained tipster-based in the available India evidence. The official material also does not establish that the special edition uses a faster processor or otherwise different performance platform from the regular X8 Pro. Regional box contents and availability can vary.
How much higher was the leak than the POCO X7 Pro?
Coverage estimated that the X8 Pro’s reported ₹33,999 entry price represented an increase of roughly ₹6,000–₹7,000 over the previous-generation X7 Pro. Publications cited different X7 Pro reference prices—about ₹26,999 or ₹27,999—and did not always identify the same RAM/storage configuration. A precise year-on-year increase therefore cannot be stated without matching configurations and an official X7 Pro India launch price.

These figures should not be merged into one universal specification sheet: the global page lists 8,500mAh typical, while the India report gives a different regional figure.
Launch date, software and availability caveats
POCO’s global material confirms that the X8 Pro series launched on 17 March 2026. The first-batch software was identified as HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 in Xiaomi’s FAQ: official FAQ.

Pre-launch coverage reported a 5:30 p.m. IST India event time. Reports disagreed about the sales platform, with Flipkart mentioned by some outlets and Amazon by a Gadgets 360 roundup. The available evidence does not conclusively establish the final India channel, so neither should be presented as confirmed without an official India listing. Xiaomi states that availability, configurations and related details can vary by market. The India regional hub is mi.com/in.
What was confirmed versus what remained a leak?
Supported by official POCO or Xiaomi material
- The 17 March 2026 launch date.
- The X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max lineup.
- The X8 Pro’s Dimensity 8500-Ultra, 6,500mAh typical battery, 100W charging, 120Hz 1.5K display, IP68 rating and 50MP Sony IMX882 OIS camera.
- The X8 Pro Max’s Dimensity 9500s positioning, 6.83-inch 120Hz display and 100W charging.
- The Iron Man Edition’s themed design, software and accessories.
Still attributed to pre-launch reporting
- Every India price in the table, including the ₹43,999 Iron Man Edition figure.
- The alleged ₹3,000 bank discount and ₹40,999 Iron Man effective price.
- The exact Indian RAM/storage configuration for the Iron Man Edition.
- The final India sales channel where each configuration was sold.
Which version made sense for which buyer?
POCO X8 Pro
The regular X8 Pro was the value-oriented choice for buyers wanting the lower entry price and a performance-focused platform. The leaked Indian configurations offered 256GB storage only, so buyers needing more local storage would have to consider another model or expansion options if supported.
POCO X8 Pro Max
The Pro Max targeted users who prioritised the largest screen, the biggest battery, a higher-tier chipset and a 512GB option. Its leaked ₹41,999 starting price was ₹8,000 above the 8GB/256GB X8 Pro. The trade-offs were a higher outlay and a larger, potentially heavier phone; battery capacity also needs to be checked for the specific Indian version.

Iron Man Edition
The Iron Man Edition made most sense for Marvel collectors who valued the custom body, packaging and accessories. Its premium was tied primarily to the themed experience, and the reported price was not independently confirmed as an Indian official list price.
For a current purchase, use Xiaomi’s India site or an official retailer listing to verify the exact configuration, warranty, charger contents, stock and checkout price rather than relying on these March leak figures.
