PlayStation’s 2025 Holiday Sale is over. Sony’s Philippines Holiday Sale ran December 18–31, 2025, while other PlayStation promotions—including Black Friday offers and separate digital Store sales—had different dates, markets, and terms. The past offers below show what was available; they are not current prices or deals.
Which PlayStation Holiday Sale ran in the Philippines?
Sony announced a Philippines Holiday Sale at participating retailers from December 18 through December 31, 2025. The offer list covered PS5 consoles and bundles, PS VR2, DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers, Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore audio products, the Access Controller, and selected PS5 games. Sony said stock was limited and prices and availability varied by retailer. Sony’s Philippines sale announcement gives the historical suggested retail prices, not a promise of what every store charged.
| Listed item | Regular SRP | Promotion SRP |
|---|---|---|
| Standard PS5 console | PHP 30,790 | PHP 25,190 |
| DualSense controller in listed standard colors | PHP 4,290 | PHP 3,390 |
| Astro Bot | PHP 2,990 | PHP 1,990 |
| God of War Ragnarök | PHP 3,490 | PHP 990 |
These were Sony-announced Philippines SRPs for the December 18–31, 2025 promotion. They are historical figures, not current prices, and participating retailers could differ in availability.
How did the 2025 Black Friday offers differ?
Sony’s broader Black Friday campaign began November 21, 2025 and included offers through PlayStation Store, PlayStation Direct where available, PlayStation Gear, and participating local retailers. The announcement named consoles, accessories, games, PlayStation Plus, and merchandise, but stressed that promotions varied by region and retailer. Examples Sony listed included $100 off PS5 consoles in select regions, $20 off DualSense wireless controllers, $100 off PS VR2, and $20 off PlayStation Portal. None should be treated as a universal discount or a current offer. Sony’s Black Friday announcement also described up to 33% off a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership for new or upgrading subscribers in participating countries; eligibility and availability were market-specific.

In that November 18 announcement, Isabelle Tomatis, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Vice President of Global Marketing, said: “Starting from November 21 for a limited time* gamers and gift givers alike can explore a range of incredible deals on PS5 consoles, games, accessories, and more across PlayStation Store, direct.playstation.com, PlayStation Gear, and at participating retailers.*” The asterisks belong to Sony’s original statement about the 2025 campaign.
Were the digital PlayStation Store sales the same promotion?
No. Digital promotions had their own territories and schedules; they should not be conflated with the Philippines retailer sale or Black Friday hardware offers.

Japan: BIG WINTER SALE
PlayStation’s Japan announcement described a BIG WINTER SALE from December 22, 2025, through January 21, 2026, with discounts of up to 80% on eligible PS5 and PS4 games. The first phase ended January 7, and the second ran January 5–21; some games had different sale periods, and the lineup could change. Examples in the announcement included Dragon Quest I & II at 20% off, ARC Raiders at 20% off, Silent Hill f at 40% off, and EA SPORTS FC 26 at 60% off. These were Japan offers and pricing, not a guide to prices in other countries. See PlayStation’s Japan sale details.
United States: reported Holiday Sale
Tom’s Guide reported on January 7, 2026 that a U.S. PlayStation Store Holiday Sale was scheduled through January 21, 2026. Its article described more than 4,500 listings and cited examples including Fallout 4 for $4 and Hogwarts Legacy for $10. Those are secondary-reported prices from an expired promotion, not current U.S. Store offers. Tom’s Guide’s January 2026 report is the source for those examples.

How to compare a future PlayStation deal
When another sale appears, compare like with like before deciding whether a discount is worthwhile:
- Match the market: Check the country and currency shown by the store or retailer. A promotion in the Philippines, Japan, or the United States does not establish availability elsewhere.
- Match the channel: Compare PlayStation Store digital purchases with other digital offers, and local retailers with physical packaged games or hardware. A digital discount does not guarantee the same price for a boxed copy.
- Check the exact item: Confirm console model, bundle contents, controller color or edition, and game edition. Similar product names can refer to different packages.
- Read dates and stock terms: Verify when the offer ends and whether stock is limited. Retailer prices and availability may differ from Sony’s announced SRP.
- Check membership eligibility: For PlayStation Plus offers, confirm whether the discount applies to new members, upgrades, or both, and whether the country participates.
- Compare the final price: Use the amount payable in your market, rather than relying only on a headline percentage or a price reported for another region.
Holiday gift-guide items were not all sale offers
Sony’s November 13, 2025 holiday gift guide highlighted PS5 games and accessories, the Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundle launching November 21, and a collector’s book available for preorder ahead of a Spring 2026 launch. A gift-guide mention is not evidence that an item was discounted in every Holiday Sale. See Sony’s 2025 gift guide for that separate context.
