Pizza Hut announced ResZAmes on September 17, 2024: a short-lived promotion that put selected job seekers’ resumes on pizza boxes delivered with a medium cheese pizza. It was limited to applicants targeting employers headquartered in qualifying New York City ZIP codes, and entries closed September 22, 2024. It is not an ongoing service.
How ResZAmes worked
Applicants entered the ZIP code of their intended employer’s headquarters in Pizza Hut’s promotion form. Those who met the geographic eligibility requirement could submit a resume. Pizza Hut then selected a limited number of applicants to receive a delivery: their resume printed on a custom pizza box, accompanied by a medium cheese pizza. The launch announcement did not promise a box to every entrant.
Pizza Hut described the idea as a way to help job seekers stand out. But it also explicitly said it could not guarantee a resume would be delivered, that its recipient would grant an interview, or that the applicant would receive a job offer or be hired. The announcement reports no measured interview or hiring results. Pizza Hut’s September 17, 2024 announcement gives the promotion details.
Who could enter, and when?
Eligibility depended on the intended employer’s headquarters being in a qualifying New York City delivery-zone ZIP code; an applicant’s own location was not the stated test. Pizza Hut’s announcement listed an entry window of September 17 through September 22, 2024. Because that window has closed, there is no current ResZAmes application to submit based on the announcement.

What the 75% resume claim does—and doesn’t—say
Pizza Hut’s launch announcement stated, “75% of resumes sent are never read,” attributing the figure to CareerMinds.com. The campaign agency, Mischief’s ResZAmes case page, also described the insight as around 75 percent of resumes going unread.
Neither source explains the statistic’s study method, sample, or year, and the figure is not independently established there. It should be understood as a campaign claim, not a verified rate that applies to all job applications.

ResZAmes was not Pizza Hut’s regular job application process
The promotion was aimed at people seeking work with other employers. For standard openings at Pizza Hut, the company’s FAQ answers “How can I submit my resume for an open position?” by directing applicants to the Pizza Hut Career Center. That ordinary hiring route is separate from the closed ResZAmes promotion.

Pizza Hut announced the campaign and its mechanics, but the available campaign materials do not report how many people were selected, whether deliveries led to interviews, or whether any participant was hired. The idea’s impact on job-search outcomes therefore remains unknown.
