The decision approved a change from a former small-bar use to an adult retail shop, subject to conditions; it is not a current opening announcement. A 2026 report says the ground floor currently operates as Pink Rabbit, but current hours have not been verified.
Where is Pink Rabbit Adult Boutique in Perth?
The approved premises are at 129 Barrack Street, Perth. PerthNow reported in September 2022 that the address had formerly housed La Casa Sinti Whiskey bar and cafe and was vacant after the venue closed. The planning application was made by Gape Pty Ltd; Spring Properties Aust Pty Ltd was identified as the landowner. PerthNow’s September 2022 report covered the proposal.
Did Perth Council approve Pink Rabbit Adult Boutique?
Yes. City of Perth council minutes record that on 27 September 2022 the council approved the change of use at 129 Barrack Street from a small bar, classified as “Entertainment,” to an adult retail shop, classified as “Restricted Premises” and an “Unlisted Use.” The approval included external works, fit-out works and signage, subject to conditions. The City of Perth council minutes are the primary record of the decision.
What was approved at 129 Barrack Street?
The application described a retail store selling clothing and adult lifestyle products. The applicant said it was aimed at young professional singles and couples working in the CBD; that describes the applicant’s intended audience, not independently measured customers. The approved use was retail-only: the council conditions did not permit non-retail or personal services as part of the use. PerthNow reported that the City’s description of the shopfront was: “Shop front displays will be of elegant and tasteful clothing with no adult toys.” That statement concerns the display, not a full inventory of products sold inside the shop.

Conditions on displays and signage
- A shopfront display management plan had to be submitted before occupation. Displays were limited to dressed mannequins, and adult toys and restricted publications were not permitted in the display.
- Signage had to use low illumination and could not flash, pulsate or flicker.
- Some additional signage required separate approval.
These conditions are recorded in the City of Perth council minutes.
Is Pink Rabbit Adult Boutique open on Barrack Street?
A report published on 29 July 2026 says the ground floor at 129 Barrack Street currently operates as Pink Rabbit Adult Boutique. That is secondary reporting, and it does not establish current opening hours or a current product catalogue. Check a current business-owned listing before planning a visit.

How the 2026 upstairs proposal differs from the 2022 shop approval
The 2026 report concerns a separate proposal for an adults-only club on the upper floor, not a change to the 2022 ground-floor retail approval. It says councillors defeated a recommendation to approve the club 4–3 and then passed a motion to refuse it 5–2. Those votes apply only to the later club proposal. The report was republished by Europe Says: Europe Says.
