POWERGRID (PGCIL) released the admit card on April 26, 2023, for its Diploma Trainee (Electrical, Civil and Electronics) recruitment for Regions and Corporate Centre. The computer-based test was scheduled for May 5, 2023, so that exam date has passed. The old listing or login route should not be treated as a current application or download link.
Which PGCIL admit card was released in April 2023?
The April 26 announcement concerned POWERGRID’s Diploma Trainee recruitment for Electrical, Civil and Electronics posts across Regions and Corporate Centre. Scroll reported that the drive aimed to fill 211 vacancies and that its computer-based test was scheduled for May 5, 2023. Those dates and the vacancy count refer to this earlier recruitment cycle, not every POWERGRID Diploma Trainee campaign. Scroll’s April 26, 2023 report covered the release; POWERGRID’s recruitment page retained an admit-card listing for the recruitment.
How candidates were told to download the hall ticket
The instructions published at the time used POWERGRID’s careers listing and candidate login. They describe the historical route, not a guarantee that the same portal or credentials remain usable now.
- Visit the POWERGRID website and open Career, then Job Opportunities and Openings.
- Select the Diploma Trainee admit-card link for the relevant recruitment.
- Enter the candidate login details and submit them.
- View and download the admit card, then print a copy for reference.
These steps were reported in the contemporary release report. The official listing confirms that an admit-card link was listed, but does not establish that the old candidate portal remains active today.

Do not confuse it with the later 2023–24 recruitment
POWERGRID subsequently advertised a separate Diploma Trainee campaign for 2023–24. Its application window ran from September 1 through September 23, 2023. That advertisement said the admit-card availability date and exact written-test date would be notified separately. Its dates and terms are distinct from the April release and May 5 exam reported for the earlier cycle. See the separate 2023–24 Diploma Trainee advertisement and compare the recruitment notice before relying on any exam date or vacancy figure.

If you are trying to access a POWERGRID recruitment portal today, start from the current official POWERGRID recruitment page or the notice for your specific recruitment cycle. A retained link for the old campaign is not proof that its login page still works. Check that the post group and advertisement match your application before entering credentials; the historical May 5, 2023 test date is not a current exam schedule.
