Applications for POWERGRID’s 25 Company Secretary Professional contract posts closed at 11:59 p.m. on 16 January 2025. The recruitment is no longer open: POWERGRID’s official listing marks the application window closed and includes later selection notices and a closure notice dated 29 April 2026.
Is the PGCIL Company Secretary application still open?
No. The “ends today” headline applied on 16 January 2025, when applications were due. POWERGRID’s official job-opportunities page now lists the CC/13/2024 application as closed and includes later recruitment-stage notices, culminating in a closure notice dated 29 April 2026.
The notice concerned an engagement of experienced Company Secretary Professionals on a fixed-tenure contract basis for POWERGRID subsidiary and special-purpose vehicle (SPV) companies. It was issued as Advertisement CC/13/2024, dated 25 December 2024.
What were the application dates?
The online application and fee-payment period ran from 25 December 2024 through 16 January 2025, with a stated closing time of 11:59 p.m. on the final day. The eligibility cutoff was also 16 January 2025. These dates appear in a reproduced copy of the advertisement; the official POWERGRID listing confirms the notice and closed status.

How many posts were announced?
The recruitment was for 25 Company Secretary Professional contract posts, according to the contemporaneous report by Scroll Staff.
Who was reported as eligible?
The contemporaneous report said applicants needed Associate Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and at least one year of experience in the company secretariat of a listed or unlisted company. It also said internship or training did not count toward that experience requirement.
These qualification details are reported in the contemporaneous coverage and reproduced notice, rather than independently confirmed here against the original official advertisement PDF. The report also mentions an upper age limit and category-based relaxation, but its stated age reference date conflicts with the notice’s 16 January 2025 eligibility cutoff. For exact age, fee, pay, location, or category-wise vacancy rules, consult the official CC/13/2024 advertisement linked from POWERGRID’s job-opportunities page rather than relying on the conflicting age date.
