A single batch of Pete Evans Healthy Everyday Jamaican Simmer Sauce was recalled in Australia because jars labelled as Jamaican Simmer Sauce contained Thai Green Curry Sauce with undeclared fish. The recall applied to 330g jars marked best-before 10/07/2022, batch 19220676/1. People with a fish allergy or intolerance were told not to eat the product and to return it for a full refund.

Why was it recalled?
Ozganics Australia Pty Ltd reported that Thai Green Curry Sauce 330g had been packed in jars labelled Pete Evans Healthy Everyday Jamaican Simmer Sauce 330g. The contents contained fish, but fish was not declared on the label. The notice warns that people with a fish allergy or intolerance may react if they consume it.

The notice lists independent retailers, including IGA, in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia; health-food stores in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria; pharmacies in New South Wales and Queensland; and online food retailers in Australia. This distribution list does not mean every retailer in those states stocked the batch.
