What happened
PerthNow reported that the man won $832,394 in Division One using a Slikpik 12 ticket. The news story, by Artemisia Blythe, was published on 1 August 2024. It does not name the winner, and the reported prize amount is not independently verified by a draw record in the available sources. Read PerthNow’s report.
Why did he wait more than a month?
The report does not say. It gives no reason for the delay and does not provide the exact draw date or claim date, so it is not possible to establish what happened between the win and collection.
How did he choose the numbers?
The winner told PerthNow he usually picked his own numbers, saying, “I usually choose my own numbers, I have a few up my sleeve that I like to pick from.” On this occasion, he was in a rush: “The store was busy, and I was in a rush, so I just grabbed a Slikpik 12”.
