Most employees need an employer-created Paycor record or invitation before they can register. Use the browser portal for the clearest recovery options, and contact your employer’s HR or payroll administrator when the issue involves registration, employee data, permissions, benefits, direct deposit, or missing features.
What Paycor is—and which employees this guide covers
Paycor is an HR, payroll, timekeeping, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and employee-self-service platform. This guide is for employees of organizations that use Paycor; it is not describing Paycor’s separate internal employee login.
Your dashboard depends on your employer’s Paycor subscription, configuration, and permissions. One employee may see pay statements and time records while another may also see schedules, benefits, onboarding tasks, or self-service tax and direct-deposit options.

Official Paycor login page
Use the official portal at https://secure.paycor.com/portal/. The alternative route is:
- Go to Paycor.com.
- Select Sign In.
- Choose the employee login option if prompted.
Before entering a username, password, Social Security number, banking information, or tax details, check the browser’s address bar. Use Paycor’s official domain or the secure Paycor portal—not an unverified third-party “login” page or an unexpected search advertisement. A Paycor logo alone does not prove that a page is legitimate.
How to log in to Paycor from a browser
- Open the official Paycor portal.
- Enter your Paycor username. If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO), your username may be your email address.
- Enter your password.
- Select Sign In or Continue, depending on the current portal flow.
- Complete any additional authentication or company-controlled SSO prompt that appears.
- Confirm that the dashboard shows the correct employer and employee profile.
Do not assume every Paycor user has the same type of username. SSO, employer setup, and account history can change the expected sign-in method.
How to register a new Paycor employee account
Employees generally cannot create a fully usable Paycor account without employer involvement. Your organization normally must create or activate your employee record and send an invitation or registration instructions. The process may differ between a new-hire onboarding invitation and a direct account invitation.

What you may need
- An active employee record in the employer’s Paycor account.
- An invitation email or onboarding link.
- The email address or phone number associated with your employee record.
- An onboarding or registration code, if your employer uses one.
- Access to the email account or phone used for verification.
General registration steps
- Open the invitation from your employer.
- Follow its registration or onboarding link.
- Enter the identifying information requested by Paycor.
- Create a username and password if the invitation flow asks you to do so.
- Verify your email address or phone number.
- Complete security questions or other identity checks.
- Finish any required onboarding documents or tasks.
- Return to the official Paycor sign-in page and test the credentials.
If the invitation is missing, check spam and junk folders, confirm the email address with HR, and ask the employer’s Paycor administrator to resend it. Paycor’s employee guidance directs workers to their manager, HR department, payroll team, or administrator for registration problems.
Forgot your Paycor password?
- Go to Paycor.com.
- Select Sign In.
- Leave the username and password fields blank.
- Select Forgot your Password?
- Enter the requested account information.
- Complete the available identity check.
- Use the reset message or link to create a new password.
- Return to the login page and sign in again.
The exact fields and verification prompts can change. Do not repeatedly guess passwords if your account might be locked. If the reset message does not arrive, check spam, verify that you used the correct email address, and ask HR or payroll to confirm the employee record.
Forgot your Paycor username?
From the Paycor sign-in page, select Forgot your username? and follow the recovery process:
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- Continue through the confirmation screen.
- Open Paycor’s email and select Verify Email Address.
- Choose an available verification method, such as a phone call, text message, or security questions.
- Complete the verification steps.
- Review the usernames associated with the account.
Paycor states that recovered usernames are shown at the end of the process and ordered according to when they were last used. If your email is not recognized, your employer may have a different address on file. Ask HR or payroll to verify it.

Paycor Mobile login
Paycor Mobile is available through the relevant official app store. Use Paycor’s mobile app page or search your device’s official store for Paycor Mobile. On iPhone, confirm that the developer is Paycor, Inc.; do not install unofficial APKs or apps claiming to be Paycor.
- Install and open Paycor Mobile.
- Sign in with your existing Paycor credentials.
- Complete any employer-configured authentication.
- Enable biometric sign-in only on a personally controlled, secured device.
The app may provide access to pay stubs, W-2s, time records, schedules, time-off requests, benefits, and other HR tasks. Availability depends on your employer’s configuration and your permissions. Touch ID, Face ID, and push notifications may also depend on the device and app setup.
If the app fails while browser login works, update it through the official app store, force-close and reopen it, check your connection, and try the browser. Reinstalling will not fix an employer-side permission problem, SSO outage, or account lock.

Paycor login problems and fixes
| Problem | First action | If that fails |
|---|---|---|
| “Invalid username or password” | Re-enter the credentials manually, check capitalization and keyboard layout, and avoid an old saved password. Use password recovery if needed. | Ask HR or payroll to verify the account and whether SSO requires your email address. |
| Forgotten username | Use Forgot your username? and complete email and identity verification. | Ask HR to confirm the email address on your employee record. |
| Forgotten password | Use Forgot your Password? from the official sign-in page. | Check spam and ask the employer to verify your account and contact details. |
| No registration invitation | Check spam or junk folders and confirm the email address. | Ask the administrator to confirm that your employee record exists and resend the invitation. |
| Verification code not received | Check the stored phone number or email, message filters, and blocked short-code texts. Request a new code if offered. | Ask HR or payroll to update incorrect contact information. |
| Account locked | Use the available recovery flow rather than repeatedly guessing credentials. | Contact the employer administrator. Paycor does not have one universal lockout period for every employer configuration. |
| Login works but information is missing | Check whether the feature should appear in your account. | Ask HR or payroll to confirm permissions and enabled modules. |
| App fails but browser works | Update the app, check the connection, force-close it, and try again. | Use the browser temporarily and contact the employer if the problem is account-specific. |
| Mobile Wallet lockout | Do not use ordinary Paycor password recovery as the first step. | Follow the separate Paycor Mobile Wallet or Payactiv support route. |
Browser checks
For a browser problem, use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox; try a private window; temporarily disable an interfering extension; clear Paycor site cookies if necessary; test another device or network; and check whether your employer’s SSO provider is working. Do not enter credentials on a page reached through an unexpected email link.

- Account issues that self-service recovery cannot resolve.
Paycor’s published support number is 855-565-3285. Paycor lists hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. ET for payroll and 8 a.m.–6 p.m. ET for other products; these details were listed by Paycor when checked on August 18, 2026 and may change. See Paycor’s services and support page for current information.
Paycor’s support center also provides knowledge-base content, live chat, and case creation for eligible administrators. Employees should not assume Paycor support can change employer-controlled records or permissions without administrator involvement.
Paycor login versus Paycor Mobile Wallet
Paycor Mobile Wallet is separate from ordinary Paycor payroll and HR account access. Paycor’s support information directs wallet users with lockouts or wallet-specific questions to Payactiv support. Use the current instructions on Paycor’s support page rather than treating a wallet issue as a standard Paycor password-reset problem.
