The written test was held on September 8, 2024, at centres in Patna. This is a historical update, not a current admit-card release.
When the admit card was released and how candidates accessed it
The Court’s notice dated August 28, 2024, said eligible candidates could download their written-test admit cards from August 29 through the official notice. The earlier August 2 notice said the admit-card link would be available on the Court website and that cards would not be sent separately. Notice No. 80/R&A Cell
The August 28 notice also said eligible candidates were being informed by SMS and email sent to their registered contact details. Those messages were notifications; candidates still needed to download the card from the Court website.
Patna High Court Translator exam date and venue
The written examination was scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2024, in one shift at examination centres in Patna, according to the August 2 notice. The August 28 notice specified that each candidate’s allotted date, slot and centre were final.

Instructions stated in the 2024 admit-card notice
- Read the instructions printed on the admit card.
- Paste a passport-size photograph in the space provided on the card.
- Bring valid identity proof in original and a photocopy to the examination.
What happened after the written test
The September 8, 2024 written test has taken place. A later High Court notice records that 166 candidates qualified for the Computer Proficiency Test; that figure is the number shortlisted after the written test, not the number of vacancies or applicants. Notice No. 19/R&A, March 26, 2025
The Court’s recruitment listings record subsequent milestones, including a final-result listing in June 2025. Candidates checking the recruitment now should distinguish later-stage notices and admit cards from the 2024 written-test card.
