Paramount+’s U.S. price increase took effect on January 15, 2026, according to post-change reporting. Monthly plans rose by $1, while annual Essential rose by $30 and annual Premium by $20. Your actual charge can depend on your renewal date, billing provider, taxes, and any promotion, so check the price and renewal date shown on your account or billing notice.
What Paramount+ costs in the U.S. after the increase
TechRadar reported the following before-and-after prices and a January 15, 2026 effective date. Paramount’s official Help Center lists a pricing article, but its price details were not available in readable form; treat these amounts as reported figures and confirm your own renewal price.

TechRadar’s report on the increase gives the post-change prices. Its separate Paramount+ pricing report lists the prior Premium annual price as $119.99, which is used here.
The yearly increases are not the same as the monthly increases: Essential annual rose by $30, from $59.99 to $89.99, and Premium annual rose by $20, from $119.99 to $139.99. If you are comparing billing intervals, multiply the monthly rate by 12 and compare that total with the annual price, while accounting for the fact that annual billing commits you for the year.

When Paramount announced the change—and why
Paramount announced in November 2025 that it planned U.S. price increases early in the first quarter of 2026. The announcement did not specify the exact rates. Paramount said the changes would support continued investment in the user experience and a stronger programming slate. That is the company’s stated rationale, not a guarantee that a particular subscriber will receive a specific improvement.

What the increase means for your bill
The reported date is when the new prices took effect, but it does not establish the exact day your own payment changed. Recurring subscriptions are charged at the then-current price under Paramount’s U.S. terms unless the subscription is cancelled or changed before the current period ends. The terms also say applicable taxes may be charged and promotional discounts are subject to their conditions.
If a fully discounted promotional period ends, the subscription rolls into paid billing unless you cancel before the offer period ends. A promotion can therefore affect when and how much you pay, even when the standard plan price has changed. Paramount’s terms do not establish that any particular customer has a live offer or qualifies for one.

For the controlling details, review Paramount+’s U.S. Terms of Use alongside the renewal notice for your subscription. If you pay through an app store, bundle, or other partner, the billing provider’s account and notice may show the applicable renewal date and amount.
What to check before your next renewal
- Open your Paramount+ account and check the plan, displayed price, and renewal date.
- If another company bills you, check its account page and billing notice too.
- Compare the monthly and annual totals, including applicable taxes and when a discount expires.
- If you plan to change or cancel, check the end date of the current billing period and the terms of any offer before acting.
Paramount maintains a Help Center article titled “How much does Paramount+ cost?” dated September 22, 2026. Use the official pricing Help Center as an additional place to check, but rely on the price and renewal information shown for your own account when deciding what you will be charged.

How much context to read into the increase
Paramount Skydance reported 79 million paid subscribers at the end of 2025 and 17% year-over-year growth at Paramount+ in Q4. Those are company-wide and service-growth figures, not a count of U.S. subscribers on these retail plans, and they do not determine an individual customer’s bill. The company’s investor materials give the broader corporate context.
