What were the extended OSSSC CRE-2023(III) deadlines?
OSSSC’s notice dated 16 February 2024 set two distinct closing dates. Both stages began on 22 December 2023, but the extension gave candidates five additional days to submit the application after registration closed.

Which recruitment did the extension cover?
The extension concerned Combined Recruitment Examination-2023 (III), also styled CRE-2023(III). It covered district-cadre Pharmacist and Multipurpose Health Worker (Male) posts in district establishments under the Government of Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare Department.

The notice continued an earlier notice dated 16 January 2024 and the advertisement dated 15 December 2023. It did not announce a general extension for other CRE cycles or OSSSC vacancies.
What did the notice change—and what stayed the same?
Issued as No. IIE-39/2023-145 (C)/OSSSC on 16 February 2024, the notice changed the application schedule. It said the other conditions in the detailed advertisement remained unchanged: “All other terms and conditions of the detailed advertisement available in the web portal of the Commission www.osssc.gov.in remains unaltered.”

The notice was issued by order of the Commission and signed by its Secretary; it does not name the Secretary personally. Candidates were advised to check the OSSSC website for updates.

For an active opportunity, use the OSSSC recruitment portal and open the notice for the specific recruitment cycle you are considering. The portal lists later recruitment notices, but that does not mean CRE-2023(III) is accepting applications. Confirm the current notice’s dates and instructions rather than relying on this expired extension.
