Which Junior Engineer posts did the OSSC addendum cover?
Odisha Staff Selection Commission’s December 23, 2024 addendum to Detailed Advertisement No. 1233/OSSC added these Group-B posts to the Combined Technical Services Recruitment Examination (CTSRE)-2024:

The addendum said candidates who had already applied for Junior Engineer Civil did not need to submit another application for the added Civil vacancies; their existing applications would be considered if they met the requirements. The added Electrical post was a separate discipline under a different authority.
What was the application deadline?
The reported final date to submit an application was January 27, 2025. That deadline has passed, so the CTSRE-2024 application window is not open. The original news report was published January 3, 2025, but contained a conflicting registration-year reference. The official addendum is the controlling source for the schedule; do not rely on the conflicting year in the news report.

Where can candidates find current OSSC notices?
Use the official OSSC portal to check current recruitment notices and any future openings. The portal showed newer notices and examinations on October 8, 2026; that does not mean CTSRE-2024 applications have reopened.
How should applicants check eligibility?
Use the detailed advertisement and addendum for the specific post rather than treating a broad qualification summary as a complete eligibility rule. The initial March 2024 indicative advertisement described a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent from an institution recognized by the Odisha Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training, but that general description should not be assumed to establish all requirements—particularly for the later-added Electrical post. Age limits, reservation details, exam stages, syllabus and selection status should be verified in the applicable official notification.
