The headline refers to the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level or Equivalent Recruitment Examination for Specialist Posts/Services-2024 II, under Odisha’s Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment. It identifies February as the planned exam month, but the available report does not establish the exact exam day or admit-card release date. Check the relevant OSSC notice for those dates; this 2024-II cycle is historical, not a current admit-card alert.
Which CHSL exam does this refer to?
This is an Odisha Staff Selection Commission recruitment examination, not the national Combined Higher Secondary Level examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Their abbreviations are similar, but the commissions, recruitment cycles and official portals are different. The Scroll report identifies the Odisha recruitment as the 2024-II cycle for specialist posts and services under the state agriculture department. Scroll’s report

What date was announced?
The reported headline says the OSSC examination was to be held in February. The available report excerpt does not give a specific February exam day or the exact day the admit card would be released, so neither should be inferred from the headline alone. Confirm both against the original OSSC notice for Recruitment Examination 2024-II. Scroll’s report
Cycle labels matter: OSSC Notice No. 1381, dated 19 March 2024, covered a different 2023 Specialist Posts/Services cycle and placed it in an April–June 2024 schedule. That schedule is not evidence for the 2024-II cycle’s dates. OSSC Notice No. 1381

For current OSSC recruitment activity, use the commission’s official website and its Download Admit Card facility. Its notice list features later recruitment cycles; do not assume a card for this historical 2024-II event is still available to download. Official OSSC website

- Open the official OSSC website: ossc.gov.in.
- Look for the Download Admit Card facility or the notice list, then identify the exact examination and cycle before opening a link.
- For the historical 2024-II date, consult the notice that specifically names that recruitment cycle. Do not substitute a notice for the 2023 cycle or an SSC CHSL notice.
