Open Source Summit Europe 2026 sponsorship is a tiered business purchase from the Linux Foundation, with published prices from $10,000 for Bronze to $90,000 for Diamond. A qualifying startup may be eligible for a $5,000 Bronze package. The prospectus anticipates 2,000 in-person attendees, but the Linux Foundation says attendance estimates can change and are not guaranteed. Before budgeting, compare the package benefits with your goals, then ask the organizer for current availability and terms.

How much does it cost to sponsor Open Source Summit Europe 2026?

The Linux Foundation’s 2026 sponsorship prospectus lists five standard tiers, priced from $10,000 to $90,000. A discounted Bronze package at $5,000 is described for startups that meet all four eligibility conditions below. Published prices and inventory are prospectus figures, not confirmation that a tier remains available or that its terms have not changed.

Tier Published price Booth space Passes Lead retrieval Speaking and meeting space
Diamond $90,000 20′ × 20′ 25 2 units Speaking option, subject to approval and availability; private meeting room for three days
Platinum $60,000 15′ × 15′ 15 1 unit Speaking option, subject to approval and availability; private meeting room for one day
Gold $40,000 10′ × 10′ 10 1 unit Conference session or birds-of-a-feather option; no private meeting room listed
Silver $20,000 10′ × 10′ 8 1 unit No speaking opportunity or private meeting room listed
Bronze $10,000 6′ × 6′ table space 3 App-only No speaking opportunity or private meeting room listed

These are the prospectus’s published package comparisons. The Linux Foundation reserves the right to change availability and deliverables because of venue restrictions. The prospectus does not list the speaking or private-room options for every tier as guaranteed inclusions; speaking content requires approval and depends on availability.

Who can get the $5,000 startup Bronze price?

The prospectus says a startup may qualify only if it satisfies every condition:

  • It has active Linux Foundation membership.
  • It has been in business for less than four years.
  • Its revenue is below $1 million.
  • It has fewer than 50 employees.

Ask the Linux Foundation to confirm eligibility and the current terms before treating this price as part of a budget.

What do the sponsorship tiers include?

Across the tiers, the package combines physical presence and event exposure: booth or table space, attendee passes, some form of lead retrieval, and marketing recognition. Higher tiers generally provide a larger footprint, more passes, and greater lead-retrieval capacity. The prospectus also lists benefits such as logo recognition, event marketing, collateral distribution, and post-event reporting; the exact benefits vary by tier.

Diamond has the largest listed booth, most passes, two lead-retrieval units, and the most extensive listed promotion and post-event video package. Platinum also lists a private meeting room and speaking option. Gold offers a conference session or birds-of-a-feather option. Silver and Bronze do not list speaking opportunities. Attendee contact lists are opt-in only, so sponsorship should not be budgeted as access to a complete attendee database.

To compare value, match the inclusions to a defined business objective rather than choosing by tier name alone:

  • Lead generation: Compare retrieval capacity and the booth footprint your team can staff effectively.
  • Product awareness: Consider the listed logo and marketing exposure alongside booth presence.
  • Hiring or community engagement: Assess whether the included passes and space support the conversations you want to have.
  • Thought leadership: Confirm whether the speaking option is available for your tier, approved, and suitable for your intended content.
  • Private meetings: Compare the limited room access listed for Diamond and Platinum with your meeting needs.

How many people attend Open Source Summit Europe?

The 2026 prospectus anticipates 2,000 in-person attendees. The Linux Foundation cautions that estimates are based on prior or related events, may fluctuate, and cannot be guaranteed before the event. Treat this as a planning estimate, not a guaranteed audience or a forecast of sponsor leads.

The prospectus presents several different 2024 metrics. They describe different populations or activity and should not be combined as if they were one attendance count:

2024 figure What it measures
54 Sponsors in 2024, according to the Linux Foundation’s sponsor data.
1,855 attendees from 1,013 organizations A sponsor-data audience figure; distinct from the separate 2,500 total-attendee figure below.
138 Average in-person badge scans, according to the sponsor data.
7,168 Total in-person badge scans, according to the sponsor data.
2,500 attendees: 1,200 in person and 1,300 virtual, from 113 countries A separate Open Source Summit Europe 2024 prospectus figure quoted in the 2026 prospectus.

Badge scans are not the same measure as unique attendees, and the prospectus’s two attendee totals are reported separately. They provide context, not a promise of the audience a sponsor will reach in 2026.

How do you become a sponsor?

  1. Define the outcome and budget. Decide whether your priority is awareness, lead generation, recruiting, community engagement, speaking, or private meetings; use the package table to identify the benefits that support it.
  2. Check current inventory and terms. The prospectus shows four Diamond, eight Platinum, and ten Gold opportunities, with Silver and Bronze listed as unlimited. Those figures are not confirmation of current availability, and the organizer may adjust inventory or deliverables for venue constraints.
  3. Contact the Linux Foundation. The official Open Source Summit Europe sponsor page directs prospective sponsors to its sponsorship contact or online agreement route. Confirm the current package, price, availability, inclusions, and any startup eligibility directly with the organizer.
  4. Review the agreement before committing. Confirm what the selected tier includes, how speaking content is approved, what lead retrieval provides, and what promotion or reporting is specified in the current agreement.

What is known about 2026 sponsors?

Doulos announced that it is sponsoring the summit in Prague, Czechia, October 7–9, 2026. Its announcement mentions embedded software training and a Linux, Yocto & Git command booklet giveaway. This establishes one named sponsor, not a complete roster. The publicly available sponsor-list page showed tier headings without enumerating sponsor names, so a full list of 2026 sponsors cannot be confirmed from that page.
