What is Open Compliance Summit?
Open Compliance Summit is a Linux Foundation event focused on open-source compliance. Its program is described as an opportunity to discuss compliance practices, implementing and managing compliance programs, supply-chain compliance, and participation in the Linux Foundation Open Compliance Program, including tools, templates and SPDX. The 2026 event is scheduled for December 10–11 in Tokyo, Japan. The Linux Foundation’s event listing provides the event information.
The prospectus calls the summit “an exclusive event for Linux Foundation members and select invitees.” It identifies legal counsel, compliance officers, product and engineering managers, process managers and supply-chain professionals as relevant attendees. It is therefore not described as a general-public conference.
How much does sponsorship cost?
The Linux Foundation’s January 2026 prospectus publishes the following prices and benefits. These are published package terms, not confirmation that a tier remains available. What to check before choosing a tier
Speaking terms
Only Silver and Gold list speaking opportunities. The prospectus says sponsor content must be approved by the program committee and The Linux Foundation, and speaking slots depend on availability. Treat the listed format as an opportunity, not a guaranteed stage slot.
Discount eligibility
The prospectus says Linux Foundation corporate members receive a 5% sponsorship discount, or 7% when signing up for multiple events at once. Confirm eligibility and how the discount applies with the organizer before using it in a budget.

Audience evidence
The audience statistics in the prospectus refer to the 2024 summit, not a forecast or attendance commitment for 2026. The Linux Foundation reported 121 attendees from 45 organizations and 28 conference talks in 2024. Reported job functions included Legal / Compliance (17%), Manager – OSPO (15%) and Executive Leader (12%); reported industries included Information Technology (33%) and Automotive (18%). Japan, the United States and China were among the most represented countries. These historical figures can help assess subject-matter fit, but they do not establish the reach a sponsor will receive in 2026.
