The ONGC Apprentice 2024 application window is closed. ONGC’s official apprenticeship archive lists November 20, 2024, as the extended deadline for applications under NATS for the specified trades. An earlier October 25 notice deferred the revised deadline while portal issues were being addressed; it did not announce November 20.

What was the final ONGC Apprentice 2024 application date?

November 20, 2024, was the final date listed for the NATS trades covered by the later extension. ONGC’s official apprenticeship archive records a November 11 update extending applications for those trades. NDTV’s November 12 report also describes November 20 as the extended deadline, although a date reproduced in its quoted notice text appears inconsistent. The archive listing and the report’s surrounding text support November 20.

This was a historical deadline, not an open application period. For any new opportunity, check the current notices on ONGC’s official apprenticeship-opportunities page.

Why did ONGC extend the registration window?

There were two separate deadline notices. On October 25, Scroll reported that ONGC had acknowledged difficulties applicants were facing with NATS. The notice said, “It has been decided to extend the last date of submission of applications by a reasonable period,” and said a revised date would be announced after the issues were resolved. That notice did not give November 20 as the new deadline.

The later ONGC archive entry, dated November 11, supplied the November 20 deadline for specified NATS trades. Keeping the two announcements distinct matters: the October notice signalled a delay, while the later update set the revised date.

What did the 2024 apprenticeship involve?

Contemporaneous coverage described the drive as offering 2,237 apprenticeship posts for a one-year engagement. The recruitment instructions directed applicants to apply online through the designated apprenticeship portals, including BOAT/NATS for specified trades. Applicants were asked to have a scanned colour photograph ready and to check their details before final submission. The instructions do not establish that applicants needed to buy a particular device or other physical item.

What were the reported eligibility and selection rules?

NDTV’s November 12, 2024 report described the age band as 18 to 24, with dates of birth from October 25, 2000, through October 25, 2006, and mentioned category-based age relaxation. These are contemporaneous secondary-reporting details; the exact eligibility criteria should be checked against the applicable original notice, not assumed to apply to another recruitment cycle.

For selection, NDTV reported that candidates were ranked using marks in the qualifying examination, with the older candidate preferred in the event of a tie. The report describes a marks-based merit process, not a written recruitment exam.
