Onebrief announced a $20 million Series C extension led by Battery Ventures on June 18, 2025, at a reported $1.1 billion valuation. That was up from the $650 million valuation the company said it reached three months earlier. The figure is a historical financing milestone—not Onebrief’s latest valuation: in January 2026, the company announced a $200 million Series D at a $2.15 billion post-money valuation.
What Onebrief announced in June 2025
Onebrief said the $20 million extension was led by Battery Ventures and valued the private company at $1.1 billion. The announcement described this as nearly doubling its valuation in three months, from $650 million. “Nearly doubling” is apt: $1.1 billion is about 1.69 times $650 million, not twice the amount. The company’s June 18 announcement gives the round terms; Axios also reported the financing on June 16, citing CEO Grant Demaree (Axios).
A private-company valuation associated with a financing is not the same as a public-market share price or a measure of cash available to the company. The announcement does not specify whether the June $1.1 billion figure is pre-money or post-money, so it should not be labeled as either.
How the financing unfolded
| Date | Financing or milestone | Reported valuation | Investors and context |
|---|---|---|---|
| February 10, 2025 | $50 million Series C | $650 million, reported by Onebrief and Axios as the prior valuation; the company announcement does not label it pre- or post-money. | Led by General Catalyst and Insight Partners. Onebrief said the round brought total reported funding to $103 million. Onebrief’s February announcement |
| June 18, 2025 | $20 million Series C extension | $1.1 billion; pre- or post-money status not stated in the announcement. | Led by Battery Ventures. Onebrief’s June announcement |
| January 23, 2026 | $200 million Series D, including primary and secondary offerings | $2.15 billion post-money, as identified in the company page title; the announcement body describes it as above $2 billion. | Led by Battery Ventures and Sapphire Ventures, with Salesforce Ventures, General Catalyst, and Insight Partners also investing. The announcement said the round enabled the Battle Road Digital acquisition. Onebrief’s Series D announcement |
The February round was the original Series C; the June financing was an extension of that round, not a separate Series D. Onebrief’s February release described the software’s use across U.S. military headquarters and said it was integral to three of the four largest operational plans globally. Those are company statements, not independently audited adoption figures.

What the June capital was intended to fund
Onebrief said it would use the extension to expand engineering and infrastructure, advance AI and integrations, and support joint and allied operations. The release also named a capacity target of 100,000 simultaneous collaborators. That is a stated target, not evidence that the platform had already reached that number of concurrent users.
The company describes its product as software for military staff collaboration, operational planning, and workflows—an integrated workspace intended to replace fragmented, manual processes. CEO Grant Demaree described the company’s mission as making “the military staff smaller, smarter, and faster.”
What the growth and performance figures do—and do not—show
In the June announcement, Onebrief reported that users saw 2× efficiency and productivity gains and that user hours were growing at a 19,600% annualized rate. The release does not provide a study design, measurement period, sample size, or independent validation for those figures. They should therefore be read as company-reported metrics, not independently established results.
Onebrief also set a goal of scaling productivity 100× within three years. That was an aspiration announced in 2025, not a result already achieved. The financing announcements do not provide audited revenue, profitability, or enough detail to establish what caused the change in valuation; the sequence shows reported financing milestones, not proof that a particular product metric drove the valuation.

Why $1.1 billion is no longer the latest figure
On January 23, 2026, Onebrief announced an aggregate $200 million Series D at a $2.15 billion post-money valuation and said it had acquired Battle Road Digital. Because this later company announcement supersedes the June 2025 valuation as the latest reported milestone in the cited timeline, $1.1 billion belongs in historical context. It remains useful for understanding how quickly the company’s reported valuation changed between its February and June 2025 financings.
