The move came even as the report pointed to recovering Saudi pipeline throughput: traders were weighing the prospect of future disruption against a sign of improving physical supply. These are dated report figures, not current oil prices.
What the report said about prices and supply
CNBC figures reproduced by AllMind News put Brent December futures at $101.76 per barrel, up 1.17%, and November WTI futures at $90.57, up 1.26%. The report also attributed a figure of 5.8 million barrels moving through Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline by Tuesday morning to Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman. The report does not specify the period covered by that pipeline figure, so it should not be read as a daily rate.
Together, the figures describe two different signals: a reported recovery in physical supply and a rise in futures prices as traders considered geopolitical risk. A pipeline-throughput figure does not, by itself, establish how much oil was available to the wider market or whether exports were unaffected.
Why prices could rise while supply was recovering
Oil futures reflect expectations as well as barrels already moving through a pipeline. If traders believe attacks could threaten production, transport or exports later, they may price in that risk before a supply loss is confirmed. The report presents concern about Houthi attacks as a factor behind the price rise; it does not establish that the incidents described caused a loss of oil supply.

This is the distinction between physical supply and a geopolitical risk premium. Recovering throughput can ease immediate concerns about available crude, while uncertainty about future flows can still push futures higher.
What was reported about the attacks—and what remains unconfirmed
The coverage said Saudi airports in Jazan and Najran were targeted. The available reporting does not establish that those incidents damaged oil infrastructure or interrupted crude flows. The airport reports should therefore not be treated as confirmation of an oil-facility strike or a supply outage.

Samer Hasn, senior market analyst at XS.com, was quoted in the secondary reproduction warning that Houthi capacity to target oil facilities could keep the risk of a renewed large-scale crude disruption high. That is Hasn’s assessment of potential risk, not independent confirmation that an oil facility was hit in the incidents described.
