OH.io Ventures has appointed Kevin Pohmer, former president of insurance-software platform Hexure, as its chief business officer. The Columbus venture says it helps software and AI startups build sales and marketing operations; its revenue targets, partnership terms and potential investments described in the appointment report are plans or statements by the company’s leaders, not independently verified results.

Who is leading OH.io Ventures?

Jim Weiker reported the appointment on October 6, 2026, for Columbus CEO in an article republished by AOL. Ratmir Timashev, OH.io’s founder, described Pohmer as an experienced technology business builder who can help put the venture’s go-to-market model into practice.

The report lists Pohmer as CEO of IXN Tech from 2017 to 2021, a leader in its merger to form Hexure, founder and CEO of Financial Guard, and a founding member of Fintech 71. It also identifies him as Hexure’s former president. Those career details are reported in the article and are not independently documented there.

What does OH.io do for startups?

OH.io Ventures Holding Inc. is described as a Columbus-based venture platform that provides sales and marketing expertise to software and AI startups. Its premise is that technical founders may have a product but need help finding customers and building revenue. Timashev summarized the challenge this way: “The No. 1 problem founders have is to build a go-to-market strategy.” Pohmer said, “The hardest thing to do is sell that product into the market.”

Timashev said he launched OH.io in February 2026 and committed $100 million of his own money to support 100 local startups over five years. He described the intended partner companies as typically having $1 million or $2 million in revenue, with a goal of tripling revenue within 18 months. These figures represent reported commitments, target profiles and goals—not demonstrated results.

How does the partnership model work?

As Timashev described it, OH.io initially receives all new revenue it generates for a partner, using that revenue to cover its costs. After those costs are covered, OH.io and the partner split the revenue generated. Timashev also said OH.io may invest up to $5 million in a company at the end of a partnership.

The report does not include partnership contracts or specify how the revenue split is calculated. It also does not establish that OH.io has made an investment under the stated option. A startup considering this arrangement would need to confirm the revenue definition, cost accounting, split, duration, termination rights and any investment terms in its own agreement.

What is the venture’s scale and growth plan?

The report says OH.io had four partner firms at the time of publication and identifies Testkube as having graduated from the program. It describes Columbus-based cloud-computing company RWX as seeking help marketing its product. RWX CEO Dan Manges said his background was in software engineering rather than go-to-market work and credited OH.io with providing tools, people and infrastructure.

OH.io aims to work with 20 to 25 companies over three years, initially assigning each company a team of five to ten people. Pohmer said the venture had 35 staff and expected to grow to about 50 by the end of 2026. The partner counts, team sizes and staffing figures are reported at the time of the October 2026 article; the expansion figures are goals or expectations, not proof that the targets were reached.

Where is OH.io based, and whom does it want to serve?

OH.io is based in Columbus and serves as a partner company’s sales and marketing arm. Timashev and Pohmer said they are also targeting international startups seeking entry into the North American market, with the hope that those companies will establish a Columbus office.

The report describes temporary offices on Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington, a move to COSI, and a possible eventual relocation to Ohio State’s Center for Software Innovation. The latter locations are presented as plans or expectations, not confirmed completed moves.

What is known about the lawsuit mentioned in the report?

The article says three former OH.io executives filed a lawsuit in spring 2026 alleging they were improperly terminated. Pohmer and Timashev declined to comment on the lawsuit and said they were confident the venture was on the right course. The report does not provide court filings or an outcome, so it does not establish the allegations or whether the case has been resolved.
