The Odisha Police Sepoy/Constable provisional answer key was reported released on December 27, 2024, for the computer-based recruitment exam. It was not the final key: the official Odisha Police recruitment listing later recorded a final-answer-key notice dated January 18, 2025. The deadline to challenge the provisional key—December 30, 2024—has passed.

Provisional and final answer key: what changed?

The State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha Police, issued a notice on December 20, 2024, concerning answer keys and objections for the Sepoy/Constable recruitment examination. News reports dated December 27 said the provisional answer key had been released that day. The official Odisha Police recruitment listing subsequently recorded a final-answer-key notice dated January 18, 2025.

The December 27 key was therefore provisional, rather than the final answer key. The available records establish the later notice date, but do not establish particular answer choices or question-level changes made in the final key.

How to download the Odisha Police Constable answer key

At the time of release, reports directed candidates to the Odisha Police website, into the Sepoy/Constable recruitment section and the provisional answer key and objections link. The reported sign-in details were a roll number and password; date of birth in DDMMYYYY format was given as a password option.

  1. Open the Odisha Police website and go to the Sepoy/Constable recruitment section.
  2. Select the provisional answer key and objections link, if available.
  3. Sign in using the candidate credentials requested on the portal. Contemporary reports described roll number and password, with date of birth in DDMMYYYY format as a password option.
  4. Open or download the answer key associated with the candidate’s examination.

This is the historical access route reported in December 2024; it does not establish whether the old candidate-login link is still operational. Use the official portal rather than treating a third-party download page as an official answer key.

Objections: the deadline and reported process

Candidates were told to submit evidence-backed objections online by December 30, 2024. Contemporary reports gave the fee as ₹250 per question and said a valid objection could be refunded after applicable bank charges. They also reported that late or offline objections would not be accepted. The objection window has expired; these details describe the historical process, not an action candidates can now take.

Exam dates and shift-wise normalization

Contemporaneous reports said the computer-based examination ran from December 7 to 18, 2024, across multiple shifts. They reported that marks would be normalized using an NTA formula. The exact formula was not exposed in the official notice available to those reports, so no specific calculation or resulting score can be inferred from that description.

Vacancy figure reported for the recruitment

NDTV and India Today reported 2,030 Sepoy/Constable positions. Their accounts also described 1,360 initial vacancies plus 720 additional vacancies, a breakdown that totals 2,080 rather than 2,030. The figures are inconsistent, and the available material does not reconcile them; the breakdown should not be treated as verified.
