Amazon’s 2026 fall shopping event, officially called Prime Big Deal Days, ran in the U.S. on October 6–7 and ended October 7. As of October 8, the event’s offers are no longer guaranteed to be available, and the available official roundup does not establish a verified list of 60 current deals. Before buying anything described as an October Prime Day deal, check its live price, exact version, and price history.
What was October Prime Day—and is it still on?
“October Prime Day” is an informal name for Amazon’s fall event. Amazon calls it Prime Big Deal Days, distinguishing it from the retailer’s summer Prime Day. Amazon announced a 48-hour U.S. event beginning at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6, 2026. Its October 7 roundup said the event was ending that night, so it had concluded by October 8.

Amazon said Prime members in 22 countries could shop the event, but dates could vary by country. The October 6–7 dates apply to the U.S.; they should not be assumed to describe every country’s event schedule.
Did you need Amazon Prime to shop?
Yes. Amazon described Prime Big Deal Days as an event for Prime members, and the U.S. event deals were limited to members. Its early-deals article in September 2026 listed U.S. membership at $14.99 per month or $139 per year; those are dated figures, not a confirmation of today’s membership price. Check Amazon’s current membership terms before joining for a sale.

What deals did Amazon name?
Amazon’s October 7 event roundup highlighted examples including the Arlo Essential Indoor Pan Tilt Zoom Security Camera, KitchenAid Ribbed Soft Silicone Oven Mitts 2-pack, amika smoothing anti-frizz set, kate spade Interlock Necklace, Pokémon Squirtle Costume for Kids, and Premier Protein shakes. These are examples from Amazon’s roundup, not an independently verified ranking of the 60 best offers. The available information does not establish a complete 60-item list, current prices, inventory, or whether any of those event prices remain available.
Amazon said the event included offers across more than 35 categories, including apparel, bedding, holiday décor, toys, beauty, technology, kitchen, and home products. Category-wide discount ceilings in a promotion describe possible offers; they do not mean every product in a category received the advertised maximum discount.

How to judge whether a deal is actually good
A sale badge or stated percentage off does not, by itself, show that a product is a good value. Amazon’s October 7 roundup says shoppers can tap “Price History” on a product detail page or ask Alexa for Shopping to see up to 365 days of pricing data. Use that history to compare the current listing price with the product’s prior range, rather than relying only on a crossed-out price.
- Confirm the exact item. Check the model, size, generation, and color. For bundles, verify what is included; similar names can refer to different configurations.
- Compare the live price with its history. Look at the product’s Price History, when available, and assess whether the current price is unusually low relative to its previous range.
- Check the terms that affect the real cost. Confirm whether the offer requires Prime, whether the item is in stock, and the delivery timing shown at checkout.
- Recheck before paying. Event promotions can end and listing prices or availability can change. Treat an old event mention as a lead to verify, not proof that the discount still applies.
What happened to the event’s timed deals?
During the event, Amazon said Today’s Big Deals were scheduled to drop at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT, with offers available while supplies lasted. Those were event-only mechanics; they do not provide a schedule for deals after the event ended.
