I could not establish from reliable public information that “Obsbit” is an FCA-authorised UK broker. That does not, by itself, prove criminal fraud—but it is not enough evidence to trust the platform with money or identity documents.
If Obsbit contacted you through WhatsApp, Telegram, social media, a dating app, an unsolicited phone call or an online advert promising unusually high returns, the risk is substantially higher. Do not deposit more money to unlock a withdrawal, pay a “tax” or “verification fee”, or use contact details supplied by the person who approached you.
What is Obsbit?
Obsbit appears to be presented as an online trading or investment broker, but a broker’s name and trading dashboard are not proof that it is a genuine financial firm. A legitimate-looking website can be operated by an offshore company, an unauthorised firm or a clone using another business’s details.
The important question is not whether the website displays market charts or claims to use a recognised trading platform. It is:

- Which exact legal entity holds your money?
- Which financial regulator authorises that entity?
- What is its official register number?
- Where are client funds held?
- Which compensation and complaints arrangements apply?
Unless Obsbit can answer those questions with independently verifiable information, it should not be treated as a legitimate UK broker.
Is Obsbit FCA-authorised?
For a firm legally offering regulated investment services to UK consumers, the relevant check is the Financial Conduct Authority Financial Services Register. Search the exact legal company name, website domain, telephone number and trading name—not just “Obsbit”.
A genuine firm should be able to identify its regulated entity and explain which permissions cover the service it is selling. An FCA number copied onto a website proves nothing unless the register entry matches the firm’s name, address, domain and contact details. Scammers routinely copy the details of authorised businesses.
Also check the FCA warning list. Finding Obsbit on the warning list is a strong reason to stop dealing with it. Not finding it there is not a clean bill of health: the FCA cannot list every new scam immediately.

Why the lack of verifiable regulation matters
Authorisation is not a guarantee that an investment will make money. It does, however, provide a framework for conduct rules, client-money requirements, complaints and—where applicable—Financial Ombudsman Service and Financial Services Compensation Scheme protection.
If Obsbit is unauthorised, those protections may not apply. A trading account can show a balance that exists only inside the operator’s software. Profits may be fabricated to encourage a larger deposit, while withdrawals are delayed until the customer pays another charge.
Common Obsbit-style warning signs
| Warning sign | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Guaranteed or unusually consistent returns | Real investments carry risk. Guarantees are a classic feature of investment fraud. |
| Pressure to deposit immediately | Urgency prevents you from checking the firm and considering the risks. |
| Contact through WhatsApp, Telegram or social media | These channels make it easy to impersonate firms and create disposable identities. |
| A personal “account manager” urging larger deposits | This can be a sales script rather than regulated financial advice. |
| Withdrawal blocked by tax, insurance, clearance or release fees | Legitimate firms do not normally require an extra payment to release your own account balance. |
| Requests for remote-access software | Software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer can let a fraudster control your device or banking session. |
| Payment to a personal bank account, crypto wallet or unrelated company | The destination may not be the regulated firm or a properly controlled client-money account. |
| Only cryptocurrency deposits accepted | Crypto transfers are usually difficult or impossible to reverse. |
| Fake reviews showing identical wording | Testimonials can be manufactured and do not establish authorisation. |
How to check Obsbit before sending money
- Copy the website domain. Do not rely on a search advert or a link sent in a message. Look for misspellings, extra words, unusual domain endings and recently created domains.
- Identify the legal entity. Record the company name, registration number, registered address, regulator and licence number shown in the website’s footer and terms.
- Search the FCA Register independently. Type the details into the FCA website yourself. Check that the authorised domain, telephone number and permissions match the contact you are using.
- Check Companies House. A UK company registration is not a financial licence. It only shows that a company was incorporated. A business can be registered at Companies House and still be unauthorised to provide investments.
- Check the payment beneficiary. Do not assume that a bank account with a similar name belongs to the broker. A mismatch is a major warning sign.
- Ask for the full fee schedule and withdrawal terms. Avoid any firm that refuses to provide these before receiving a deposit.
- Stop if pressured. A genuine firm will allow time for independent checks and will not threaten you with a missed opportunity or account closure.
Can you trust an Obsbit account balance?
No—not without evidence that the platform is operated by a regulated, identifiable firm. A dashboard balance is not the same as money held in a bank or an investment registered in your name. Fraudulent platforms often display profits, bonuses and account values that cannot be withdrawn.
Do not pay a further amount simply because the balance appears large. “Release fees”, “withdrawal taxes”, “anti-money-laundering deposits” and “wallet activation charges” are common advance-fee tactics. Asking for another payment is not evidence that the first payment is recoverable.

- Stop communicating with the alleged broker and do not send additional money or identity documents.
- Contact your bank or card provider immediately. Explain that you believe you have been the victim of an investment scam and ask whether a payment recall, card chargeback or fraud claim is possible. Speed matters.
- Report the incident to Action Fraud in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, or to Police Scotland if appropriate. Keep the crime reference number.
- Secure your accounts. Change passwords from a clean device, enable two-factor authentication and tell your bank if you shared online-banking details or one-time codes.
- Remove remote-access software and have the device checked if anyone controlled it.
- Save evidence. Keep website addresses, emails, phone numbers, wallet addresses, bank details, screenshots, transaction IDs and chat logs.
- Ignore recovery agents. A second person may claim they can recover the money for an upfront fee. This is frequently a second scam.
Does a small successful withdrawal prove Obsbit is genuine?
No. Fraudulent operators may allow a small withdrawal to build confidence before requesting a much larger deposit. One successful payment does not prove that the platform is authorised, that the displayed balance is real or that future withdrawals will work.
Obsbit fees, assets and protection
I would not rely on any fee table, insurance claim or protection statement published solely on an Obsbit website. Verify the information with the relevant regulator and the named financial institution independently.
FSCS protection, where it applies, does not cover ordinary investment losses or a bad trading decision. It is not a guarantee that a trading account will make money. Unauthorised firms and impersonators generally do not provide the normal regulatory protections associated with an authorised UK firm.
Likewise, displaying a familiar bank name, a company number, an FCA logo or a claimed licence number does not establish protection. The details must match an official register entry.

Final assessment
There is not enough independently verifiable evidence to call Obsbit a safe or legitimate broker. The appropriate consumer decision is to avoid depositing money until its exact legal entity, regulatory permissions, domain and payment arrangements have been confirmed through official sources. If you have already deposited, treat the situation as a potential investment scam and contact your bank immediately rather than paying another withdrawal charge.

Is Obsbit a scam?
I cannot establish from reliable public information that Obsbit is an authorised UK broker. That is not a legal finding that it is fraudulent, but it is a sufficient reason not to deposit money until its legal entity and regulatory status are independently verified.
Is Obsbit regulated by the FCA?
Do not assume so. Search the exact entity, website and contact details on the FCA Financial Services Register. A licence number shown on Obsbit’s website is not reliable unless the official register confirms that the details match.
Obsbit says I must pay a fee before withdrawing. What should I do?
Do not pay it. Advance fees described as tax, insurance, compliance, clearance or account-release charges are common investment-scam tactics. Contact your bank or card provider immediately and report the matter.

Can I recover money sent to Obsbit?
Possibly, depending on how and when you paid, but there is no guarantee. Contact your bank, card issuer or crypto exchange immediately, preserve all evidence and report the incident. Be wary of anyone promising recovery for an upfront fee.
Does a UK company number prove Obsbit is legitimate?
No. Companies House registration only confirms that a company was incorporated. It does not authorise that company to provide investments, operate a broker or hold client money.
The Bottom Line
Obsbit should be treated as high risk and avoided unless its precise legal entity and regulatory permissions can be matched on an official register. Do not trust a trading dashboard, copied FCA details, social-media contact or a promise that another payment will release your funds. If you have already paid, contact your bank immediately and report the suspected scam.
