Select-market sales began on October 29, 2025, with launch pricing from £249/€249 for 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. It combines Nothing’s distinctive design and software with a 120Hz AMOLED display and 5,000mAh battery, but uses a midrange chip, 33W charging and a macro camera instead of a telephoto lens. Availability and pricing depend heavily on country, and a normal US retail launch has not been verified.
Quick verdict
Buy the Phone (3a) Lite if you want Nothing OS, Glyph lighting and a large smooth display at the brand’s lowest official price, and you can purchase it from an authorized seller in a supported market. Consider the regular Phone (3a) if its discounted price is close, or the CMF Phone 2 Pro if a useful telephoto camera matters more than Nothing’s design. US buyers and import shoppers should resolve warranty and network compatibility before paying.

These are launch prices reported by Nothing and launch coverage, not guaranteed August 2026 prices. Promotions, taxes, currency movements, stock and marketplace sellers can change the amount. Do not turn them into a US MSRP through exchange-rate conversion. Design, Glyph Light and durability
Nothing describes a glass finish with precision-machined aluminum touches. The rear Glyph Light supports notifications, timer countdowns, custom contact patterns and essential notifications, while Nothing OS widgets and Dot Engine styling reinforce the company’s visual identity.
IP54 means protection against dust ingress and water splashes under test conditions, not waterproofing or safe submersion. Nothing also cites 95,000 durability tests, including a 500g iron-ball drop, 600N bending test, 20-minute immersion at 25cm and 250,000 button presses. Those are manufacturer test claims, not a promise that every accident is covered.
Display experience
The 6.77-inch AMOLED panel and adaptive 120Hz mode should make scrolling feel smooth, with HDR10+ support for compatible content. The stated 3,000-nit figure is claimed peak brightness measured under limited conditions; it should not be read as sustained brightness throughout ordinary use. Likewise, PWM dimming figures describe a specified test mode rather than guaranteeing comfort for every user.
Performance and gaming
The Dimensity 7300 Pro is a midrange eight-core platform, not a flagship processor. Nothing claims an AnTuTu result of 711,907, but that is a company/laboratory claim rather than an independently reproduced benchmark; results vary with software, temperature, workload and benchmark version. Expect competent everyday apps and moderate gaming, but do not buy it for sustained flagship-level frame rates without independent testing.
Every listed configuration has 8GB of physical RAM. “Up to 16GB” includes RAM Booster, which reserves internal storage as virtual memory and is not equivalent to installing 16GB of real RAM.
Camera system
Main and ultrawide cameras
The 50MP main camera is the primary option for normal photos, while the 8MP ultrawide camera covers wider scenes. Nothing lists a 0.6x-to-10x zoom range, but the range does not indicate a 10x optical lens.
Macro camera
The close-focus macro camera works at 4cm. Secondary launch reporting calls it a 2MP sensor. It is useful for occasional close-ups, but it is not a substitute for the dedicated telephoto hardware found on some rivals.

Selfies and video
The front camera is 16MP. Video recording reaches 4K, and Nothing advertises AI-powered stabilization, including in low light. Treat that as an official feature claim rather than proof of superior real-world stabilization.

Battery and charging
The 5,000mAh battery is paired with 33W wired charging. Nothing claims up to 22 hours of YouTube playback, up to 16 hours of mixed use and a 50% charge in 20 minutes. These are controlled-test claims; screen brightness, network signal, temperature, apps and battery age determine actual results.
Software and updates
The launch build was Nothing OS 3.5 on Android 15. Features include Essential Key, Essential Space, Essential Search, Smart Drawer, customizable widgets, Dot Engine customization and ChatGPT integration. Nothing’s launch communication said Nothing OS 4.0 would roll out in early 2026, but a phone bought later may have a newer or region-specific build.

Phone (3a) Lite versus the alternatives
Regular Nothing Phone (3a)
The regular Phone (3a) is the logical upgrade for buyers who can spend a little more, particularly if a sale narrows the gap. Compare the live price, charging specification and camera hardware at the time of purchase rather than relying on launch pricing. The Lite’s 33W charging and macro camera are its clearest compromises.
CMF Phone 2 Pro
TechRadar highlighted the CMF Phone 2 Pro as a close-price alternative in some markets and noted its 50MP telephoto camera, which is more useful for portraits and zoom than the Lite’s macro unit (TechRadar comparison). Choose the Lite for Glyph lighting and Nothing OS; choose the CMF model if camera versatility and a more utilitarian design are higher priorities.
Who should buy it?
- Design-conscious buyers wanting the least expensive official Nothing phone.
- People who value a large 120Hz AMOLED display and clean Nothing OS.
- Users satisfied with a strong main camera and occasional ultrawide or macro shots.
- Buyers purchasing through an authorized seller in a supported region.
Who should skip it?
- US buyers who require confirmed local sales, support and warranty coverage.
- Photographers who specifically need optical telephoto zoom.
- Heavy gamers seeking flagship sustained performance.
- Anyone who can buy a discounted Phone (3a) for only a small premium.
- Users who require faster charging or waterproofing.
Importing an unsupported-market model
Before ordering an imported unit, verify 4G/5G bands, VoLTE and carrier certification, SIM or eSIM support, charger compatibility, regional software, return rights, repair options and warranty terms. Nothing says Indian warranty service is performed only in the country of purchase and is not an international warranty (warranty policy). A low marketplace price can therefore cost more if the phone fails or cannot connect reliably.
