The 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has ended. Nordstrom’s public sale ran July 18 through August 9, 2026, after staged early access for cardmembers July 14–17. Nordstrom has not established next year’s dates in the information available here, so shoppers should check its official sale page rather than rely on a recycled schedule.
What the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is
Nordstrom describes the Anniversary Sale as an annual, limited-time event featuring new fall fashion and other new arrivals and staples at sale prices. Its scope is broader than clothing: Nordstrom’s 2026 information also included beauty and personal-care products, plus a selected assortment at Nordstrom Rack.

For a personal-finance decision, treat it as a short-term shopping event, not a reason to buy something you do not need. A product appearing in sale coverage does not establish its current price, stock, model, or value compared with other retailers.
2026 dates and early access
Nordstrom’s FAQ lists these 2026 dates. Cardmember early access was staggered by Nordy Club status; public access followed.

Why you should verify the year before planning
The schedule changes. In 2025, Nordstrom’s public sale ran July 12–August 3, with cardmember early access July 8–11 depending on Nordy Club status; prices returned to regular levels for everyone August 4. That differs from 2026, so an old calendar or article may give the wrong dates. Nordstrom’s 2025 announcement is a dated example, not guidance for a future season.

Where the sale applied in 2026
Nordstrom
Nordstrom promoted online and in-store shopping. The company recommended online shopping for selection and offered free style help through a stylist. Its FAQ also listed free shipping and returns, curbside pickup and returns, expedited shipping, same-day delivery in select areas, and international shipping. Eligibility and availability can depend on location or service terms; confirm the details before making a purchase.
Nordstrom Rack
During the 2026 public sale, Nordstrom Rack offered a curated selection of Beauty, Haircare, and Bath & Body Anniversary picks in stores and on NordstromRack.com. Availability could vary by location, and in-store pickup was described for eligible orders. These were details of the ended 2026 event, not a current promotion.

How to shop without letting a sale inflate your budget
- Set a spending limit first. Decide what you can afford before browsing and distinguish planned purchases from items added because a countdown or discount creates urgency.
- Make a list of specific needs. Nordstrom’s landing page encourages shoppers to preview the sale and prepare a wishlist. Use that approach to focus on items you intended to replace or buy anyway.
- Compare the actual item and terms. Check the exact model, size, color, final price, shipping or pickup options, and return terms. Do not assume a sale price is the lowest available elsewhere.
- Check access rules and dates at the time. Cardmember access and public access have separate dates, and the schedule can change each year. Confirm current details with Nordstrom before planning around early access.
- Wait on uncertain purchases. If an item is not on your list or its price and return conditions are unclear, skipping it is a straightforward way to protect your budget.
What product previews can—and cannot—tell you
A July 2026 Who What Wear preview named the Dyson Airwrap among products shown in the Anniversary Sale preview. That is a historical example only. It does not establish that a Dyson Airwrap is currently on sale, available at Nordstrom or Amazon, or identical in model or price to the item covered in that preview. Read the dated product preview.

Nordstrom’s landing page promotes previewing the sale, building a wishlist, and moving items to a bag when the sale starts, as well as styling appointments and cardmember early access. Promotional modules can change or roll forward, so use the year-specific FAQ or announcement to confirm dates and terms. Do not assume the 2026 schedule will repeat.
