The supplied headline says “NMAT 2025,” but the current official schedule is for 2026; these dates should not be treated as 2025 deadlines. If you intend to take the exam this cycle, check the live schedule and register through mba.com promptly.
NMAT 2026 deadlines: registration, scheduling and exam dates
GMAC lists three separate milestones for the 2026 cycle. Registration closing does not mean that scheduling or the exam window closes on the same day.
| Milestone | 2026 date | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Registration | August 20–October 10, 2026 | Last date to register for the exam through mba.com. |
| Exam-slot scheduling | August 20–October 22, 2026 | Period shown for booking a test-centre date, time and location. A later scheduling deadline does not extend the registration deadline. |
| Exam delivery | November 2–December 20, 2026 | The scheduled exam window, not the registration period. |
These dates are from GMAC’s 2026 schedule and may change; verify the live dates and fees page before acting.
How to register and book an NMAT slot
- Create an NMAT account on mba.com’s registration page using an email address you can access.
- Complete and verify your profile, then fill in the exam registration form. Enter your name and date of birth exactly as they appear on the photo ID you will use on exam day.
- Choose score-report recipient schools, upload a recent photo and pay the registration fee.
- Use your dashboard to schedule the test-centre exam by selecting a location, date and time. GMAC says slots are limited and allocated first come, first served; it recommends scheduling as early as possible for a preferred slot. That does not establish that every centre or time is full.
Registration fees and score reports
GMAC’s 2026 schedule lists the following fees, each plus applicable taxes:
Recommended Free Tools
| Item | Fee shown for 2026 |
|---|---|
| Exam registration | INR 3,000 |
| Retake | INR 3,000 |
| Rescheduling | INR 1,200 |
| Each additional score report beyond the first five | INR 400 |
The registration fee includes score sending to five schools. Additional recipients are charged individually at the listed rate. These are fees displayed for the 2026 cycle, not a guarantee of future pricing; confirm the amount on GMAC’s live fee schedule before payment.
Exam registration is not a B-school application
GMAC explicitly warns: “Important: NMAT by GMAC Registration and B-School Applications Are Separate.” Registering for the exam—and selecting schools to receive scores—does not submit an application for admission. Apply to each target school separately and check its eligibility rules, application deadline and NMAT score-acceptance policy. Those requirements are set by the schools, not by the exam registration.

GMAC says the admit card becomes available seven days before the scheduled exam. Download a fresh copy for each attempt. For a test-centre exam, bring or show the admit card and a valid, original, unexpired photo ID; check GMAC’s current admit-card guidance and test-centre instructions for the applicable requirements.
