A confirmed Switch 2 preorder listing
Nintendo’s US product page lists The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive available November 5, 2026. GameStop’s Switch 2 catalog also showed the game as upcoming for that date. At the time of the catalog observation checked October 7, 2026, GameStop displayed a price of $69.99; that is a time-sensitive listing price, not a guaranteed price or a market-wide comparison. Check the retailer page for its current price, edition, stock, and terms before ordering. Nintendo’s listing describes rebuilt visuals, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, symphonic orchestral music, updated controls, and ZELDA NOTES service through the Nintendo Switch App. Those are Nintendo’s descriptions, not an independent assessment. GameStop’s Switch 2 catalog is a separate retailer listing.

Digital preorder and physical pre-purchase work differently
Nintendo Support says, “You can pre-order select unreleased Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games on Nintendo eShop.” This applies to select titles, rather than every unreleased game. Digital eShop preorders and physical purchases from Nintendo Store have different payment and delivery timing. Nintendo’s preorder guidance explains the distinction.
| Purchase path | When payment is taken | What happens before or at release | Cancellation or delivery detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nintendo eShop digital preorder | Nintendo processes payment seven days before release. | The game preloads then if the console has enough storage. A small update unlocks play at release. | You can cancel before payment is processed. If payment fails, Nintendo says the preorder is canceled. |
| Nintendo Store physical pre-purchase | Nintendo charges the full amount immediately. | The item ships one to three business days after its release date. | Nintendo calls this a “pre-purchase”; its stated shipping window is after release, not a promise of delivery on launch day. |
The timing above is Nintendo’s stated policy; a third-party retailer can set its own payment, shipping, and cancellation terms. Read those terms on the specific product page before placing an order.

What to verify on a retailer listing
- Format and edition: Confirm whether the item is digital or physical and that the listed edition is the one you intend to buy.
- Release date: Check the date on the seller’s current page; retailer dates can change.
- Price and stock: Treat search results and catalog snapshots as temporary. Confirm the total and availability at checkout.
- Payment and shipping: Check when the retailer charges, when it expects to ship, and whether the terms promise shipping or delivery by release day.
- Bonuses: Count on a preorder bonus only if the current listing explicitly includes it and identifies any conditions.
A listing by itself does not guarantee that stock will remain available, that an order will arrive on launch day, or that a bonus will be included. Nintendo’s Coming soon page is dynamic, and its accessible text does not expose a complete stable list of all live preorders. Use it alongside individual retailer listings rather than treating it as an exhaustive inventory.
