Nintendo has not confirmed a Nov. 20 start date or a 2026 Black Friday lineup. As of Oct. 4, 2026, Nintendo of America’s official news index did not show a 2026 announcement. Nov. 20 has been used for Nintendo promotions in 2022 and 2025, but those past dates do not establish this year’s schedule.
Is Nintendo Black Friday 2026 confirmed for Nov. 20?
No. The available official Nintendo of America sources do not confirm a 2026 start date, games, Switch 2 upgrade offers, or accessory discounts as of Oct. 4, 2026. Nintendo’s official news index was searched for a 2026 announcement, but no such announcement was found in the results. That is not proof that no announcement exists elsewhere; it means the date and offers should be treated as unconfirmed until Nintendo publishes them.
The date may sound familiar: Nintendo announced promotions beginning Nov. 20 in both 2022 and 2025. Those are historical precedents, not confirmation of a 2026 promotion.
What Nintendo offered in 2025
Nintendo of America’s Nov. 10, 2025 holiday announcement is a useful reference for the kinds of offers Nintendo has run, but every date and price below applies to 2025 only.

Cyber Deals and physical games
Nintendo’s 2025 Cyber Deals ran from Nov. 20 through Dec. 3 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Separately, physical Nintendo Switch game offers at select retailers were scheduled to begin Nov. 23. The announcement listed these suggested retail prices:
| 2025 physical Switch game offer | Suggested retail price |
|---|---|
| Princess Peach: Showtime! | $39.99 |
| The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom | $39.99 |
| Donkey Kong Country Returns HD | $39.99 |
| Luigi’s Mansion 3 | $39.99 |
| Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe | $39.99 |
| Super Mario Odyssey | $29.99 |
| Nintendo Switch Sports | $29.99 |
| Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door | $29.99 |
| Splatoon 3 | $29.99 |
These were 2025 suggested retail prices, not guaranteed prices at every retailer. Nintendo said the offers were available at select retailers; actual pricing and stock could vary.

Switch 2 upgrades and free updates
Nintendo’s 2025 announcement referred to paid upgrade packs for select Switch games, and separately described free Switch 2 updates for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Super Mario Odyssey, and Splatoon. The free updates were described as enabling smoother gameplay at higher resolutions. A paid upgrade pack and a free update are different things, and neither is established as part of a 2026 Black Friday deal.
Amiibo and storage accessories
The 2025 announcement said select amiibo would be $10 off MSRP. It also announced $20 off MSRP on Samsung MicroSD Express Cards beginning Nov. 30, 2025, at Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO, Nintendo NEW YORK, and select retailers. Nintendo described the cards as additional storage for Switch 2. Those discounts were specific to the 2025 promotion; they do not establish a 2026 offer or a current price.

How to check and compare 2026 deals
Once Nintendo or retailers publish current offers, check each listing on its own terms rather than assuming a past deal has returned. These details matter for a fair comparison:
- Product and generation: confirm whether the offer is for a Switch or Switch 2 game, system, or accessory.
- Offer type: distinguish physical and digital games, paid upgrade packs, free updates, and accessories.
- Price and conditions: compare the live price with MSRP and note any bundle or membership requirement.
- Timing and availability: verify the start and end time, time zone, retailer, and stock status.
- Upgrade-pack requirements: check whether you need to own the base game and what the upgrade actually adds.
For a Switch 2 storage offer, verify that the product is a compatible microSD Express card and check its capacity and live price. Nintendo’s 2025 announcement supports the relevance of that accessory category, but does not identify a 2026 deal, a particular card model, or a current listing.

Why Nov. 20 is not proof of a 2026 start
Nintendo’s Nov. 3, 2022 announcement said a Switch bundle and selected game offers would begin Nov. 20, 2022. Nintendo’s 2025 Cyber Deals also began Nov. 20, but the physical-game offers started Nov. 23 that year. The different schedules show why a past start date cannot establish the timing—or the products—of a future promotion.
