How to find the 2025 Phase-II call letter
- Open the NIACL recruitment archive.
- Find the 2025 Administrative Officers (Generalists & Specialists), Scale-I recruitment section and its Phase-II mains call-letter download entry.
- Use the official entry and follow the instructions displayed there. Do not rely on third-party download links or reuse a call letter from a different recruitment cycle.
- Once you have your own call letter, check its exam date, reporting time, venue address, and any candidate-specific instructions.
NIACL’s 9 October 2025 Phase-I result notice said downloading would commence shortly, but the official pages cited here do not establish the exact date the download link first went live. The notice scheduled the mains examination for 29 October 2025.
What the call letter and official handout say
Your issued call letter is the source for your assigned date, reporting time, and venue. NIACL’s Phase-II information handout also describes exam format and entry requirements. Use the instructions that apply to your stream, and follow the call letter and any current official directions.
Generalist exam structure
The handout lists four objective sections: Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude. Each has 50 questions for 50 marks, giving 200 questions and 200 marks in 150 minutes. A separate 30-minute descriptive English test comprises letter writing worth 10 marks and essay writing worth 20 marks.

Specialist exam structure
The Specialist objective paper includes Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge. Each section has 40 questions for 40 marks, giving 200 questions and 200 marks in 150 minutes. The separate descriptive English test is 30 minutes: letter writing is worth 10 marks and essay writing 20 marks.
Timing and marking
According to the handout, tests are separately timed; candidates may answer a section only during its allotted time. The objective exam has a penalty of one quarter of the marks assigned to a question for each wrong answer. The handout describes 180 minutes of exam time overall and an estimated venue stay of approximately 240 minutes to allow for login, call-letter collection, and instructions.

Documents and exam-day instructions
NIACL’s handout tells candidates to verify the date, reporting time, and venue on their call letter. It describes bringing authenticated Phase-I and Phase-II call-letter documents and photo ID documentation, and says candidates are required to carry Aadhaar to facilitate biometric authentication. Check the instructions on your own call letter and any current official notice for the documents and procedures applicable to you.
