Nextdoor Ads Manager is Nextdoor’s self-serve platform for creating and managing digital ads, including campaigns aimed at people in selected neighborhoods and communities. Local businesses can use it to pursue goals such as website visits, sale promotion, or customer messages. The product’s history and availability differ by market: Nextdoor introduced an SMB-focused ads product in the United States in 2022, announced a broader Ads Manager rollout in 2023, and later announced self-serve launches in the UK and Canada.

What is Nextdoor Ads Manager?

Nextdoor Ads Manager lets businesses set up advertising campaigns on the neighborhood-focused social network. A campaign can be configured around an objective, audience, placements, creative, budget, and schedule; advertisers can then submit it for review and track status, spend, and performance in the dashboard, according to Nextdoor’s current US setup guide.

The service is software for digital advertising, not a physical product. Its potential fit is businesses seeking to reach people in particular local service areas. The available controls, signup route, currency, and minimum spend may vary by country and can change over time.

How the product developed

2022: SMB-focused Nextdoor Ads announced in the US

On April 7, 2022, Nextdoor announced an expansion of its self-serve campaign-management platform for small and medium-sized businesses. The guided process described at launch included selecting a goal, building an ad, choosing an audience, setting a daily budget and campaign duration, publishing, and reviewing performance in a dashboard. The announcement said a full US launch was expected in the coming weeks; that was a plan stated at the time, not a current availability guarantee. Read Nextdoor’s 2022 announcement.

2023: A unified Ads Manager rollout

On June 14, 2023, Nextdoor announced a unified Nextdoor Ads Manager. It said the product would first be available to mid-market advertisers, followed by a phased expansion to agencies and SMBs. The announcement emphasized targeting neighborhoods and communities within a business’s service area. Read the rollout announcement.

Later market announcements

Nextdoor UK announced a self-serve platform on December 18, 2025, describing Quick Create and Advanced Create. The company said businesses could start spending at a few pounds, but this dated statement is not a verified universal minimum or a current quote. Read Nextdoor UK’s announcement.

On April 14, 2026, Nextdoor announced that self-serve advertising was live for Canadian businesses. The company described location and audience targeting, custom audiences, AI-assisted ad creation, pixel-based performance tracking, reporting, and agency account management. Read the Canada announcement.

These announcements establish launches in particular markets and at particular times, not a complete current country-by-country eligibility list. Check the live Ads Manager signup flow and local guidance for availability and features where your business operates.

How a local business campaign works

Nextdoor’s US onboarding guidance describes a campaign process that moves from objective and audience decisions to creative, review, billing, and reporting. The exact live interface may change.

  1. Sign up through Ads Manager. Confirm that self-serve advertising is available for your business and market.
  2. Choose an objective and placements. Nextdoor’s US small-business guide gives examples including increasing website visits, promoting a sale or discount, and getting more messages. See the US small-business guide.
  3. Set the audience. Configure audience and location choices around the communities or service area you want to reach, using the options offered in your account.
  4. Prepare the ad. Add creative and copy that fit the objective and the placement selected.
  5. Set budget and timing. Choose a bid, daily budget, duration, and delivery schedule as available in the workflow. Review the projected spend before submitting.
  6. Add payment and submit for review. Nextdoor’s US guide says payment is collected automatically when the billing threshold is reached or on the monthly billing date, whichever comes first. Check the billing terms shown in your account, since they may change.
  7. Monitor results. Use the dashboard to review campaign status, performance, spend, and reporting, then decide whether to adjust or end the campaign.

How much does advertising on Nextdoor cost?

There is no single universal current price established by the available official material. Costs depend on the campaign settings and market, and the UK launch announcement’s reference to starting at a few pounds is a dated company statement rather than a verified present-day minimum. In the US workflow, advertisers set a daily budget and campaign duration; consult the figures displayed in the live account before committing spend.

For budgeting, distinguish the daily amount from the total campaign commitment: a daily budget multiplied across the scheduled duration gives a rough planned spend before any applicable billing details or delivery variation. Review the account’s bid, schedule, billing threshold, and payment terms rather than assuming another market’s currency or limits apply.

What Nextdoor’s audience figures can—and cannot—tell you

Nextdoor’s launch materials have cited sizeable local audiences, but these figures are company-reported and tied to specific dates and geographies. In its April 7, 2022 US announcement, Nextdoor said nearly one in three US households were on the platform at the end of Q4 2021; it also reported 69 million neighbors globally at that time. The same announcement cited more than 55 million local-business recommendations shared on the platform as of April 2022. These historical figures do not establish the audience currently available to a particular advertiser.

  • WRAP-AROUND COVER: Fold the back cover between sets to keep invoices neat and legible
  • ROOM FOR CUSTOMIZATION: A blank space at top leaves room for your company stamp; a big savings over custom-printed forms
  • CONSECUTIVELY NUMBERED: Large 6-digit numbers in the upper right hand corner help you thumb through orders quickly

Nextdoor UK’s December 2025 announcement cited more than 10 million verified neighbors and over half a million local businesses in the UK, and said self-serve advertising represented nearly 25% of UK revenue at that time. Nextdoor’s April 2026 Canadian announcement reported that 74% of Canadian users were homeowners, 50% had household incomes above CAD $80,000, and about one in three Greater Toronto Area households were active on the platform. These are company claims, not independent market estimates or predictions of campaign performance.

Is Nextdoor Ads Manager a good fit?

Consider it if neighborhood-level reach is relevant to your business and you can define a measurable objective, such as visits to a booking page, messages, or promotion response. It may be less useful if your customers are not concentrated in the communities available for targeting or if you cannot track the outcome you care about.

  • Match the objective to a business outcome: choose a goal that can be observed, such as qualified inquiries or website visits.
  • Check local availability and controls: do not assume a feature, placement, budget threshold, or currency announced in one country applies elsewhere.
  • Set a test budget you can afford: define a spending limit and campaign duration before launch, then review the platform’s reporting against your own business records.
  • Treat testimonials as individual experiences: a 2022 launch announcement quoted one North Carolina electrical-business owner saying about 50–60% of his customers came through Nextdoor. That single advertiser testimonial is not independently verified evidence of typical results.

Nextdoor has also used broad promotional language about helping businesses drive results, but company statements and audience statistics should not be treated as a guarantee. Actual outcomes depend on the business, audience, offer, creative, campaign settings, and measurement.
