What happened to Neiman Marcus customers?
Neiman Marcus Group said it detected unauthorized access to its computer network in May 2024. The settlement FAQ says the company identified that settlement-class members’ personal information may have been compromised, accessed and exfiltrated.

The wording matters: the documents describe information that may have been involved. They do not establish that every affected person had every listed data element exposed.

Who was eligible for the Neiman Marcus settlement?
The settlement class generally covered people in the United States whose personal information was potentially compromised in the Data Incident. The official FAQ also lists exclusions and excludes people who validly opted out.
The most useful evidence of inclusion is a notice sent by the settlement administrator or a claim confirmation from a claim submitted during the filing period. If you received neither, the public materials do not provide a way to determine from a name alone whether your records were in the affected data.

Can you still file a claim?
No. The administrator states that the October 8, 2025 filing deadline has passed and that late claims cannot be accepted. A person who did not submit a timely, valid claim generally cannot begin a new claim under this settlement now.
People who filed on time should keep their claim number, confirmation email, supporting receipts and any notice from the administrator. The settlement FAQ says benefits are to be distributed after court approval and claims processing, subject to the settlement’s rules.

How much could a settlement payment be?
The settlement created a $3,500,000 fund. That figure is the total fund, not a guaranteed payment for each claimant.

The settlement FAQ says Neiman Marcus denies the allegations and wrongdoing. The court did not determine that Neiman Marcus violated the law; the parties settled to avoid the cost, risk and time of continued litigation.

How does Snowflake fit into the case?
The U.S. District Court for the District of Montana describes MDL 3126 as a group of federal cases involving a cluster of alleged Snowflake cloud-platform breaches from approximately April through June 2024. The listed clients include AT&T, Advance Auto Parts, Cricket Wireless, Ticketmaster/Live Nation, The Neiman Marcus Group and LendingTree’s QuoteWizard subsidiary.
The court refers to alleged exfiltration of personal information belonging to more than 500 million people across the combined multidistrict litigation. That is an aggregate MDL figure, not a Neiman Marcus-specific number, and it should not be used to estimate how many Neiman Marcus customers were affected.

On December 19, 2025, a federal order dismissed the Neiman Marcus plaintiffs’ claims against Snowflake with prejudice. That ruling concerns the claims against Snowflake and does not create a new Neiman Marcus settlement claim period.

- Review bank, payment-card and gift-card activity for transactions you do not recognize.
- Be cautious with emails, texts or calls that use the Neiman Marcus or Snowflake names and request passwords, payment details or one-time codes.
- Change any password reused on a Neiman Marcus account or elsewhere, and enable multifactor authentication where available.
- Check your credit reports and consider a fraud alert or security freeze if you see signs of identity misuse.
- Save account statements and correspondence showing suspicious activity; they may help with conversations with a bank, card issuer or law-enforcement agency even though they cannot create a late settlement claim.
