The cancellation notice said application fees would be refunded by 31 May 2025, but the reviewed official notice does not confirm whether every refund was completed.
What happened to NCRTC recruitment 2025?
NCRTC’s Vacancy Notice O&M-13/2025 was for direct recruitment to operations and maintenance posts. A contemporaneous Scroll.in report described the drive as covering 72 posts. That cancellation supersedes the original deadline and planned selection schedule. What was the application deadline?

The original notice listed, among other positions, 16 Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts and 16 Junior Engineer (Electronics) posts, each with a pay scale of Rs. 22,800–75,850 (NE5). Will candidates get their application fees back?
NCRTC’s 15 May cancellation notice said fees paid by candidates would be refunded by 31 May 2025 to the same bank account from which the fee was paid. The notice sets out the promised refund date and destination, but does not establish that all refunds were actually completed. Was the NCRTC CBT conducted?
The available official material establishes a planned test format, not that a computer-based test (CBT) took place. NCRTC published a pattern and syllabus on 7 May 2025, after which the recruitment was cancelled on 15 May. Format announced before cancellation
- 100 questions for 100 marks, with one mark for each correct answer.
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Hindi or English option.
- No negative marking for wrong answers.
- For post codes 1–9: General Knowledge/Current Affairs (20 questions), Reasoning (20) and Subject Knowledge (60).
The syllabus named Indian history, polity, geography, economy, basic science, art and culture, sports, abbreviations, books and authors, international organizations, important days and dates, and current affairs under General Knowledge/Current Affairs. Reasoning topics included classification, analogy, coding-decoding, puzzles, matrices, word formation, ordering, Venn diagrams, directions and distances, blood relations, missing numbers, series, and verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Where to check for new NCRTC vacancies—and avoid fake notices
For later openings, use NCRTC’s official careers page to confirm that a notice is genuine and current. NCRTC says vacancies are announced through open advertisements on its official website. Check the notice number and status, deadline, post and discipline, eligibility and age limits, pay level, selection stages, and any corrigendum; do not assume that terms from O&M-13/2025 carry over to a new recruitment.
NCRTC warns that it does not seek payments beyond any applicable application fee and does not ask for bank-account, credit-card or debit-card details to offer a job.
