NCET 2025 registration is closed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) originally set March 16, 2025, as the application deadline, then extended it to March 31, 2025. The exam was scheduled for April 29, 2025, so this is a past-cycle notice—not an open application opportunity.
What changed in the NCET 2025 registration schedule?
NTA’s initial notice, dated February 20, 2025, opened applications for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025 from February 20 through March 16. It set the online application cutoff at 11:30 p.m. and the successful fee-payment cutoff at 11:50 p.m. on March 16.
In a notice dated March 16, NTA extended the application deadline to March 31. Under the revised schedule, applicants had until 9:00 p.m. on March 31 to submit the online form and until 11:50 p.m. that night to complete the fee transaction. The form and fee cutoffs were separate deadlines.
| Schedule | Online application cutoff | Fee-transaction cutoff |
|---|---|---|
| Original schedule (NTA notice, February 20, 2025) | March 16, 2025, at 11:30 p.m. | March 16, 2025, at 11:50 p.m. |
| Revised schedule (NTA notice, March 16, 2025) | March 31, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. | March 31, 2025, at 11:50 p.m. |
NTA’s extension notice said the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) requested the extension following requests from students, institutions, and other stakeholders, in view of ongoing CBSE and other board examinations. That is the explanation given in NTA’s notice.

NCET 2025 was for admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the 2025–26 academic session. NTA described ITEP as a dual-major programme combining education with a school-stage specialization and a second major in a discipline chosen by the student. The registration notice does not establish eligibility requirements, fee amounts, or institution-specific admission details.
