Who is in the Nation’s Dumbest cast?
FOX announced the following 12 contestants for Nation’s Dumbest in its May 7, 2026 announcement. The descriptions below follow FOX’s role labels.
- Hilaria Baldwin, television personality
- Carmen Electra, actress and model
- Anthony Michael Hall, actor
- Jon Heder, actor
- Chase Hudson, musician and actor
- Ice-T, rapper and actor
- Elle King, singer-songwriter
- Matt Leinart, former NFL quarterback
- Dr. Drew Pinsky, television personality and physician
- Steve-O, stunt performer and comedian
- JoJo Siwa, singer and performer
- Andrew Yang, entrepreneur and former presidential candidate
FOX’s announcement identifies the host as comedian Jack Whitehall and describes a school-themed competition with brain teasers, physical challenges and classroom knowledge tasks.
Why a net-worth ranking isn’t reliable
Neither FOX’s announcement nor the post-premiere report reviewed here supplies a comparable financial dataset for the contestants. They do not establish each person’s assets, liabilities, income or net worth. There are therefore no sourced dollar figures on which to base an ordered list.

Celebrity net-worth figures published elsewhere should be treated as estimates unless supported by documented financial disclosures. Even estimates from different publishers may use different methods and definitions, so placing them side by side does not necessarily make them comparable. A credible comparison would need, for each contestant, a named publisher, a publication or access date, and a clear indication of whether the number is a disclosed figure or an estimate. Those comparable, attributed figures are not established by the sources cited here.
What the show’s unusual competition format does
The contestants are not trying to win in the usual sense. FOX says the smartest celebrity graduates each week, leaving the remaining contestants to avoid being last; a final exam determines who is left with the unwanted title. Michael Thorn, then President of FOX Television Network, described it as “a competition where the goal is to avoid winning.” (FOX announcement.)

Premiere and streaming details
FOX’s May 7, 2026 announcement scheduled the premiere for Wednesday, July 15, 2026. A Fox News Digital report dated July 19 said the series premiered July 15 and streamed on Hulu the following day. Streaming catalogs can change, so current availability should be checked with the platform.
