No 2026 National Sandwich Day deal has been confirmed for Firehouse Subs, Subway or Potbelly in the sources checked on October 8, 2026. The holiday falls on November 3 in the cited past coverage, but older promotions are not proof that a chain will repeat them. Check each restaurant’s official app or offer page closer to the date; until a current offer and its terms are published, treat these as unconfirmed rather than available discounts.
National Sandwich Day deals confirmed for 2026
None of the reviewed sources confirms a 2026 National Sandwich Day promotion from Firehouse Subs, Subway or Potbelly. Firehouse Subs’ newsroom listing reviewed on October 8 showed announcements through August, but the absence of a holiday announcement there does not establish that no deal will be announced later.
For a deal to count as confirmed, look for a current announcement or terms that specify the valid date, qualifying purchase, eligible sandwich, redemption channel and participating locations. A standing rewards offer or a deal from a previous year does not meet that test.
Current everyday offers are not holiday specials
These offers appeared on the chains’ U.S. pages when checked, but they were not identified as National Sandwich Day 2026 promotions. Prices and eligibility may change, so confirm the details in the official app or at checkout.

- Potbelly: The homepage advertised one free Original sandwich after a new member’s first order through Potbelly Perks, as well as app ordering. This is a new-member offer, not a verified holiday deal. Potbelly’s homepage.
Past promotions: useful context, not current offers
Previous deals show the kinds of conditions a promotion may carry. They have expired and should not be used as current promo codes or expectations for 2026.
- Subway in 2022: The company announced a sweepstakes for 10,000 electronic gift cards redeemable for Subway Series footlongs, as well as a limited-time buy-one-get-one footlong offer with code
FLBOGOthrough its app or website. The release specified participating U.S. restaurants, one offer per order, exclusions, additional charges and other restrictions. Subway’s 2022 announcement. - Firehouse Subs in 2025: A local roundup reported a free medium sub with a $15 minimum online or in-app order at participating locations. - Potbelly in 2025: The same roundup reported a free Original sandwich or wrap with a qualifying Big or Original sandwich or wrap order through the website or app. The reported offer required Perks membership and code

How to verify a sandwich deal before ordering
Compare the total cost and restrictions, not just the advertised free item. A discount may require a qualifying purchase, membership, online ordering or a participating location.

- Open the restaurant’s official app or offer page and look for an announcement with dates covering November 3, 2026.
- Read the complete terms. Check the minimum spend, eligible size and item, required rewards account or promo code, order channel, participating locations and exclusions.
- At checkout, confirm the discount appears before paying. Check whether tax, delivery fees or other charges apply and whether the offer can be combined with another promotion.
If a brand has not published an offer, do not rely on an old code or assume a regular rewards benefit is a holiday special. Recheck closer to the holiday, when participating restaurants and terms may be clearer.
