What each National Coffee Day deal included
Dunkin’: free coffee with an app purchase
Dunkin’ said in its September 22 announcement: “On Monday, September 29, members can enjoy a free medium hot or iced coffee, with purchase through the Dunkin’ app*.” The offer was for Dunkin’ Rewards members and limited to one per member. Cold Brew and Nitro Cold Brew were excluded. It was not available on delivery platforms or through guest orders in the app; participation could vary, and additional charges and terms could apply. Starbucks: bonus Stars after a brewed-coffee purchase
Starbucks Rewards members could earn 100 bonus Stars with a hot or iced brewed-coffee purchase through September 29, Axios and WTOP reported. This was a loyalty reward to earn, not an immediate free beverage. Krispy Kreme: coffee and a doughnut at participating shops
WTOP’s September 29 roundup described a free medium hot or iced coffee plus a doughnut of choice at participating Krispy Kreme shops. The contemporaneous report supports those offer details, but not additional restrictions. Krispy Kreme’s currently surfaced National Coffee Day page covers 2026, so its terms should not be applied retroactively to the 2025 deal.
