Celebrity Net Worth currently estimates it at $60 million. That is a third-party estimate, not a verified disclosure: the publisher says its net-worth figures are estimates unless otherwise indicated, and the available sources do not provide an audited account or a reproducible calculation confirming the figure.
What does the $60 million figure represent?
Celebrity Net Worth lists Nancy Cartwright’s net worth as $60 million. Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities, but the site does not provide a verified inventory of Cartwright’s assets, debts, or the calculations behind this particular estimate. The figure should therefore be read as the site’s estimate, not as a confirmed balance sheet or a statement of cash on hand. Celebrity Net Worth’s Nancy Cartwright estimate notes that figures are estimates unless otherwise indicated.

How much did Nancy Cartwright make from The Simpsons?
The clearest reported compensation figure is historical. In a May 1, 2004 report, the Los Angeles Times said the six principal Simpsons voice performers, including Cartwright, had reached a four-year agreement worth approximately $250,000 per episode, or $5.5 million per year, with no profit stake under that deal. These amounts describe the terms reported for that contract; they are not Cartwright’s current episode rate, current annual income, or net worth. The Los Angeles Times report does not establish later contract terms.
That salary report cannot be converted into a reliable estimate of wealth. The available sources do not establish how many episodes were paid under each contract, Cartwright’s taxes or expenses, her investments and other income, or her assets and liabilities. A contract’s reported compensation is not the same thing as accumulated net worth.

How Cartwright built her career
Cartwright is best known as the voice of Bart Simpson, but the Television Academy also identifies her with other characters on the series, including Nelson Muntz, Ralph Wiggum, Todd Flanders, and Kearney. Its awards record lists her 1992 Emmy win for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance. The Television Academy’s awards and nominations record documents her roles and award history.
Her work extends beyond voice acting. A 2012 UCLA Magazine profile describes her as an actor, comedian, playwright, author, internet producer, app creator, and race-car driver. In that interview, Cartwright said, “I started telling stories in competition when I was 10.” UCLA Magazine’s profile offers further career context. The Television Academy’s oral-history interview with Cartwright, recorded on March 17, 2011, covers her career, audition, characters, recording process, and other projects.

What is and isn’t established about her finances
- Published estimate: Celebrity Net Worth lists $60 million, but its own qualification is that its figures are estimates unless otherwise indicated.
- Historical compensation: The Los Angeles Times reported the principal cast’s 2004 deal at approximately $250,000 per episode or $5.5 million per year. Those are contract figures from that agreement, not a current pay rate.
- Not established by these sources: a current verified net worth, current Simpsons contract terms, complete career earnings, or a comprehensive accounting of assets and liabilities.
For more on Cartwright’s career, her autobiography is My Life as a 10-Year-Old Boy; its existence does not verify the net-worth estimate. Spotted Cow Entertainment’s biography notes the book and its connection to her one-woman show.
