The Nainital Bank’s 2024 recruitment drive for Probationary Officer (PO), IT Officer (Cyber Security), Manager-IT (Cyber Security) and Chartered Accountant (CA) is closed. Applications were accepted online from 17 to 31 August 2024, and the bank’s notice set a ₹1,500 application fee for every post. The figures and eligibility below apply to that 2024 cycle, not to any current opening.
What the 2024 recruitment notice covered
The Nainital Bank Limited invited applications for four roles across Grades/Scales I and II. The notice listed 25 vacancies in total and said vacancy numbers were provisional.

Eligibility depended on the post
Probationary Officer, Grade/Scale I
Applicants needed a graduation or post-graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks, plus knowledge of computer operations. Banking or financial-institution experience was preferred but was not mandatory. The stated age range was 21–32 as of 31 July 2024.

IT Officer (Cyber Security), Grade/Scale I
The notice required at least 60% in specified undergraduate degrees in computer science, information technology, cyber security or listed electronics disciplines, or at least 60% in specified postgraduate degrees. The age range was 21–32 as of 31 July 2024.
Manager-IT (Cyber Security), Grade/Scale II
The role required a relevant engineering or technology qualification, or a specified postgraduate qualification, and two years’ experience as an IT officer in a bank or financial institution. Cyber-security credentials and related financial-institution experience were desirable. The age range was 25–35 as of 31 July 2024.

Chartered Accountant, Grade/Scale II
Applicants needed ACA or FCA membership from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and at least two years of post-qualification CA experience in a bank, non-banking financial company or financial institution. The age range was 25–40 as of 31 July 2024.

Application dates and fee
The online application window ran from 17 August through 31 August 2024. The application fee was ₹1,500 for all four posts, according to the bank’s 2024 application notice. Both the deadline and fee belong to that closed recruitment cycle; they do not establish the terms of a later vacancy.
Selection process and exam pattern
The notice described an online written examination followed by an interview for candidates who qualified, subject to the recruitment terms. The test had 200 questions for 200 marks and lasted 145 minutes. Each section was separately timed, and a wrong answer incurred a penalty of 0.25 marks, according to the official exam information handout.

The PO paper tested computer knowledge; IT Officer, Manager-IT and CA candidates had a professional-knowledge section instead. The handout included illustrative sample questions but cautioned that actual questions could include types not shown. It also said calculators were generally not allowed; CA candidates had access to an on-screen simple calculator.

The application required scanned materials including a photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration. Candidates were instructed to take their call letter and valid photo ID to the exam venue. These are instructions from the 2024 cycle; applicants to any future recruitment should follow that cycle’s own notice and admit-card directions.

The 2024 application deadline has passed, and the recruitment notice is archived in the bank’s careers materials. The bank’s later careers and results pages show subsequent recruitment activity, but the available records do not confirm a final result for every post in this 2024 notice. Check the bank’s careers and results page for official updates rather than assuming a post-specific outcome.
