The company’s website still advertises a Kids Lunch Box, but its current price, order availability and delivery area are not established by the information currently shown on its site.
What My Foodie Box announced in February 2025
PerthNow reported on 16 February 2025 that the Perth meal-kit business had launched a school lunchbox program, described as delivering lunches and snacks to families’ doorsteps. Founder Mai Hughes said the offer was intended to save parents time while giving children nutritious and creative food choices. PerthNow’s launch report quoted Hughes saying, “There is an issue in Australia when it comes to nutrition and our children, and it needs to be addressed.”
Reported launch price and contents
PerthNow reported a launch-era price of $49.95 for a box intended to supply a week of school lunches. It said the box included ingredients for the week’s lunches, plus snacks, fruit and dessert, with the menu rotating every four weeks. These are details from the February 2025 announcement, not confirmed current checkout terms.
Preparation time and east-coast reach
The same report said parents who trialled boxes over summer reported spending about 30–40 minutes preparing meals for the week in one batch. That is feedback attributed to trialling parents, not the result of an independently controlled time-saving study. PerthNow also reported that east-coast reach was being run in collaboration with Melbourne-based Make-Out-Meals; the report does not establish whether that partnership continues.

Can you order the Kids Lunch Box now?
The company’s website, as surfaced in October 2026, still promotes a “Kids Lunch Box,” describes its meals as dietitian-approved and says there are over four recipes weekly. However, the home page does not state the Kids Lunch Box’s current price, an order cutoff, a precise delivery footprint or whether orders are open nationwide. “Dietitian-approved” is the company’s own marketing description, not evidence of an independent assessment or medical benefit.
The launch announcement’s Australia-wide ambition should therefore not be read as confirmation that the service is currently available throughout Australia. My Foodie Box’s terms and conditions say the website is intended for residents of selected parts of Perth, Western Australia. They describe meal-kit subscriptions and a paused-service a-la-carte option, but do not separately define Kids Lunch Box coverage. That leaves the school-lunch service’s current geographic reach unresolved.

Do not confuse the lunch box with standard meal kits
My Foodie Box’s general How It Works page covers its meal kits, not the Kids Lunch Box. It says customers choose at least two meals each week and select two, three or four servings; it also describes skipping or cancelling before a Monday 11:59 p.m. AWST cutoff and meal-kit prices starting at $6.25 per serve. Those terms and prices should not be applied to the school-lunch product unless the company confirms they also govern it.

What the company’s ownership update does—and does not—tell you
A July 2025 ASX release said My Foodie Box Limited completed the divestment of its meal-kit business on 10 May 2024. That corporate update does not establish that the My Foodie Box operating brand or its school lunch offer ended. It is not a substitute for checking whether the lunch product is taking orders in your area.

- Availability: Ask whether Kids Lunch Box orders are currently open for your postcode.
- Total weekly cost: Confirm the current price and whether delivery or other charges apply; the reported $49.95 figure was from the 2025 launch report.
- Menu and dietary details: Review current recipes and the company’s ingredient and allergy information for your household’s needs.
- Delivery and account terms: Verify delivery timing, ordering deadlines and cancellation terms specifically for the lunch box rather than assuming general meal-kit rules apply.
- Preparation fit: The 30–40-minute batch-preparation estimate was trial-parent feedback reported in 2025; actual preparation will depend on the box and household.
A reusable bento-style lunch container may be useful for packing school food, but the launch report did not endorse a particular container or say one was included.
