Muus Collective announced a $5 million seed round in October 2022 to develop fashion-focused mobile games and digital collectibles. Griffin Gaming Partners led the round. The company’s plans included a Web3-enabled game where blockchain features were meant to introduce players to crypto without making it essential to play. In July 2025, PocketGamer.biz reported that Muus had wound down after it failed to secure additional funding.
What was Muus Collective building?
Muus Collective was a Los Angeles studio developing mobile games centered on fashion, styling and creative play, alongside digital collectibles. Its first game was described as Web3-enabled, but cofounder and CEO Amber Bezahler said crypto would not be required for core gameplay: “We want to raise the crypto fluency of our player base in a game where it is fun, but not make it mandatory to the core gameplay.” GamesBeat reported the funding and product plans in October 2022.
That distinction mattered to the stated design: blockchain was presented as an optional layer around a fashion game, not as a prerequisite for participating in its central play. The available announcements do not establish what features ultimately shipped or whether the game became publicly available.
Who funded the $5 million round?
Muus announced a $5 million seed round in October 2022 led by Griffin Gaming Partners. Griffin managing director Emily Wang framed the investment around gaming, fashion and Web3, saying: “Consumer demand exceeds supply at the intersection of gaming, fashion, and Web3.” That was the investor’s thesis, rather than independently verified evidence of market demand.

At the time, GamesBeat also cited two indicators of interest in adjacent categories: the Blockchain Game Alliance reported $2.3 billion in NFT game revenue in the third quarter of 2021, and GamesBeat’s 2022 report said top mobile fashion titles had generated more than half a billion dollars in lifetime revenue. These are historical figures with different scopes; neither establishes Muus’s revenue, later market conditions or the performance of its planned game.
What was the REVOLVE partnership supposed to do?
REVOLVE and Muus announced a collaboration intended to bring digital playable renderings of products from REVOLVE and FWRD into Muus’s fashion-oriented gaming experience. REVOLVE Chief Brand Officer Raissa Gerona described the plan as a way to take a first step into Web3 gaming and connect REVOLVE’s network with new audiences. The partnership announcement carried by Nasdaq documents the intended integration, not its launch. It does not establish that players could buy physical merchandise through the game.

What happened to Muus Collective?
On July 22, 2025, PocketGamer.biz reported that Muus Collective had wound down after failing to secure further funding. The report quoted former VP of Growth Amanda Lulewicz, who wrote: “With a heavy heart, I’m sharing that we’ve had to wind down Muus Collective.”
This reported closure is the latest status established by the cited coverage. It is based on a trade-press report quoting a former executive, not a company filing or an official shutdown notice. The announcements do not confirm whether the REVOLVE integration launched, whether the game was released, or whether any Muus products remain available.
