On-chain researchers alleged in 2024 that cryptocurrency wallets they linked to MrBeast received token allocations and later sold tokens for large profits. Their figures are estimates based on wallet attribution and transaction analysis—not a court finding that Jimmy Donaldson committed fraud. A separate 2026 case involved a Beast Industries employee accused by prediction-market operator Kalshi of trading on nonpublic information about videos; it is not evidence of the 2024 crypto allegations.
What are the allegations against MrBeast?
Loock Advisory’s 2024 investigation said it identified more than 50 wallets linked, in its analysis, to Jimmy Donaldson, the creator known as MrBeast. It described token allocations, transfers and sales across projects including SuperVerse (formerly SuperFarm), Ethernity Chain (ERN), AIOZ, Refinable, SHOPX and XCAD. The report’s wallet mapping and conclusions about who controlled particular addresses are the analysts’ attributions, not independently established ownership findings. For SuperVerse-related activity, Loock estimated profit at roughly $11.45 million after accounting for an estimated initial investment and later activity. Blockscope Research separately summarized allegations and cited work by SomaXBT, Kasper Loock and other on-chain analysts, estimating more than $20 million in alleged profits overall. What evidence do the reports cite?
The reports describe methods such as reviewing public wallet disclosures, token allocations, transfers and shared exchange deposit addresses to connect activity across addresses. Those connections are the researchers’ reasoning for associating wallets with Donaldson; a shared transaction trail or address link does not, by itself, prove who controlled every wallet. The estimated profits likewise depend on those attributions and the analysts’ transaction calculations.

Loock’s reported SuperVerse estimate—roughly $11.45 million—was calculated after subtracting an estimated presale investment and another purchase. It is not an audited profit figure, a verified investor loss, or a legal determination. Blockscope’s broader estimate also remains an analyst estimate, not an official tally of proven proceeds or losses.
Did MrBeast respond, and has he been found guilty?
A 2026 Senate Banking Committee letter says Donaldson denied wrongdoing and said third parties handled his crypto investments. That is the committee letter’s account of his response, rather than a direct statement reproduced here. The letter discusses the allegations and requests information from Beast Industries about its acquisition of Step; it does not decide whether the crypto claims are true. The reviewed sources do not establish a court or regulator finding that Donaldson committed crypto fraud. The allegations should therefore be described as allegations, and the profit figures as researcher estimates. No official statistic quantifying proven losses caused by Donaldson is established by these sources.

In 2026, Kalshi accused Beast Industries editor Artem Kaptur of using nonpublic information about MrBeast videos to trade on its prediction-market platform. TechCrunch reported that Kalshi said it found “reasonable cause” to believe he had done so, and reported a two-year ban and sanctions. The Associated Press reported that Beast Industries fired the editor and said it had initiated an independent investigation. A company spokesperson said it had “no tolerance for this behavior,” referring to the employee incident.
