MPESB’s Excise Constable Direct and Backlog Recruitment Test 2024 is a completed recruitment cycle: applications ran from 15 February to 1 March 2025, the examination was scheduled for 9–21 September 2025, and the board’s results index lists result materials hosted on 5 February 2026. Registration is not open now. The “248 posts” figure reported by secondary coverage refers to direct vacancies; five backlog vacancies are reported separately, and the final total should be checked against the official rulebook and revisions.

What happened to MPESB Excise Constable registration 2025?

Although applications were accepted in 2025, the board identifies the recruitment as the Excise Constable Direct and Backlog Recruitment Test 2024. MPESB’s student dashboard lists the application period as 15 February–1 March 2025 and the examination period as 9–21 September 2025. The board’s results index records result materials hosted on 5 February 2026. The application window and examination have both passed.

These dates answer searches such as “Excise Constable 248 posts apply till March 1”: March 1 was the 2025 application deadline, not a current deadline. The board’s examination schedule also lists the application and examination dates.

What does the 248-post figure mean?

Testbook reports 248 direct vacancies and five backlog vacancies. That makes 248 the reported direct-post count, not an independently verified combined total. The official indexed dashboard identifies the recruitment as direct and backlog, but the retrieved dashboard entry does not display the vacancy table. Check the applicable MPESB rulebook and revisions for the final vacancy split before relying on a total of 253 or any other figure.

Vacancy category Reported count What to verify
Direct vacancies 248, as reported by Testbook Confirm against the final MPESB rulebook and revisions.
Backlog vacancies 5, as reported by Testbook Confirm against the final MPESB rulebook and revisions.

The board’s Excise Constable rulebook and revision path is the appropriate source for definitive recruitment conditions and vacancy details.

Where to check the result and official documents

MPESB’s results index lists the Excise Constable result materials with a hosting date of 5 February 2026. Use that index to locate the applicable result notice or document rather than relying on a third-party summary. The board also maintains an old-question-paper index for official past-paper resources.

The application was handled through MPOnline. Its Excise Constable Exam-2024 application notice included the declaration: “I here by declare that, I have read & understood all the Information/Instruction/Conditions mentioned in the Rule Book.” That wording is part of the application notice, not a substitute for reading the rulebook itself.

Eligibility and selection details need the applicable rulebook

Do not infer eligibility or selection requirements from the vacancy count or from an old recruitment summary. The detailed education, age, domicile, category, physical standards, examination stages, and other conditions must be read in the applicable MPESB rulebook and its revisions. Because this cycle has concluded, candidates checking a past application or result should match any notice to the correct 2024 recruitment cycle.

Preparing with official materials

For review or future preparation, begin with the rulebook and the board’s old-question-paper listings. A general MP Excise Constable preparation guide can be a supplement, but compare its syllabus and edition with the official rulebook; the board has not endorsed any particular commercial guide.
