Motorola’s promotion, reported on February 18, 2026, also cut prices on the razr+ 2025, razr 2025 and razr+ 2024. Those prices were compelling when announced, but the report gave no end date. As of August 2026, treat them as historical prices until the live Motorola checkout confirms the amount, configuration and bundle.

Because the two reported ultra configurations cost the same, the 1TB version was difficult to justify against the 512GB model unless the latter had a different color, stock status or checkout condition.

Which reported deal looked best?
Best headline and flagship deal: razr ultra 1TB
The 1TB ultra had the largest reported reduction and the more substantial bundle. The deal is particularly notable because the report described a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, a 7-inch internal display, a 4,700mAh battery and 68W TurboPower charging. Confirm those specifications on Motorola’s current product page before using them to make a purchase decision.
Best lower-cost deal: razr+ 2024
At a reported $549.99 after a $450 reduction, the razr+ 2024 was the budget standout. Its trade-off is age: remaining software support, battery condition, warranty coverage, durability and repair options matter more when buying an older foldable. Those details were not established by the deal report.

Best newer-model compromise: razr+ 2025
The reported $699.99 price placed the razr+ 2025 between the ultra and the base razr. It may suit buyers who want newer hardware without paying ultra pricing, provided the live gap versus the ultra is meaningful and the phone’s current support terms meet their needs.
Weakest reported discount: razr 2025
The base razr 2025 received a reported $100 reduction to $599.99. That is still the lowest entry price among the newer listed models, but the modest saving makes it less compelling than the deeper cuts unless its current price falls further or its configuration is the one you specifically want.

What the accessories are—and are not—worth
moto buds+ could be useful if you already need wireless earbuds. A moto tag is a smaller add-on and should not determine which phone you buy. Practical value also depends on your tracking setup and compatibility with your existing Android devices.
The available report did not establish accessory retail prices, stock limits, whether the item is automatically added, whether a code is required, whether it ships separately or how it is handled in a return. Check the final cart before paying; a “free” item that is unavailable or must be returned with the phone does not have the same value as an immediately delivered bundle.

Checklist before treating the price as real
- Open the relevant listing at Motorola’s US store and confirm the exact storage tier, color and model year.
- Make sure the discount appears before payment and note whether it requires a coupon, financing, carrier activation or trade-in.
- Check whether the purchase is unlocked and compatible with your carrier’s bands, eSIM process, 5G and Wi-Fi calling.
- Review shipping charges and how sales tax is calculated on the checkout total.
- Confirm whether the accessory is in stock, added automatically or claimed through a separate redemption step.
- Read the return policy, including whether returning the phone requires returning the accessory or deducts its value from your refund.
- Verify the warranty, accidental-damage options, deductibles and available repair locations.
- Compare the unlocked total with any carrier offer, but include the required trade-in, installment term, plan and bill-credit period in the comparison.
How to choose among the listed models
Choose the razr ultra when
- You want the highest-end performance and genuinely use 1TB of storage.
- The live price remains close to the reported $799.99 and the bundle is actually available.
- You accept that a premium foldable can carry higher repair or replacement stakes.
Choose the razr+ 2025 when
- You want a newer premium razr but do not need the ultra’s storage or top specification tier.
- The current price is clearly below the ultra after tax and any required conditions.
Choose the razr 2025 when
- Your priority is the lowest price among newer models.
- You do not need the ultra’s performance and the live discount is better than the reported $100.
Choose the razr+ 2024 when
- You are comfortable with an older generation and the discount remains substantial.
- You have confirmed remaining software support, battery condition, warranty and return coverage.
Tax-season branding does not create a tax benefit
“Tax season” describes the timing and marketing of the promotion; it does not make a personally purchased phone tax-deductible. A refund may provide a lump sum, but compare the final total—including sales tax and shipping—with normal sale prices and competing offers. Do not spend an entire refund on a foldable simply because a promotion is framed as temporary.
Reasons to wait or walk away
- The February report did not include an expiration date, so an apparently attractive price may already be over.
- A large percentage discount can be less meaningful if the starting price or configuration differs from what you expected.
- Carrier bill credits may produce a lower effective cost, but only with the required plan, financing and service commitment.
- Foldables deserve a durability and repair check. Budget for a case and investigate local service availability before buying.
- An older model can be inexpensive while offering fewer remaining support years than a newer phone.
Bottom line for a purchase decision
Based on the reported February prices, the 1TB razr ultra was the strongest headline and flagship value, while the razr+ 2024 was the most aggressive low-cost bargain if its age and support horizon were acceptable. The razr+ 2025 was the sensible newer-generation middle option, and the base razr 2025 had the least impressive reported discount.
That ranking is not proof that the promotion is still live in August 2026. Buy only after Motorola’s checkout confirms the price, storage, accessory, eligibility, warranty and return terms—and after comparing the all-in cost with carrier promotions and other phones.
