Motilal Oswal Asset Allocation Passive Fund of Fund – Conservative is scheduled to merge into Motilal Oswal Multi Asset Passive Fund of Funds after close of business on November 13, 2026. Investors using NSE MF Invest who do not want to remain in the merging scheme can redeem or switch without exit load through 3:00 p.m. on November 9, 2026, under the window stated in the exchange’s circular. The circular’s transaction instructions apply to that platform; check the relevant AMC or transaction-platform notice if you invest through another channel.

What is happening to the Conservative Passive FoF?

National Stock Exchange of India circular NSE/NMFTM/76820, dated October 9, 2026, identifies Motilal Oswal Asset Allocation Passive Fund of Fund – Conservative as the merging scheme and Motilal Oswal Multi Asset Passive Fund of Funds as the surviving scheme. It says the merger will be effective after close of business on November 13, 2026. Read the circular notice.

This is the Conservative scheme’s merger into the Multi Asset scheme. It is not the earlier recategorization and renaming involving the Aggressive scheme.

What is the last date to exit without exit load?

For investors who do not favor the merger, the NSE circular provides a no-exit-load redemption or switch window from October 9 through November 9, 2026, inclusive, until 3:00 p.m. on November 9. The stated route is NSE MF Invest, and a switch must be to another Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund scheme available for subscription. These terms are stated in the platform circular; they should not be assumed to describe every transaction channel.

#1 Best Overall

If you plan to act, confirm the available transaction options, cutoff time, and processing status in your account before submitting an instruction. The circular’s final-day cutoff is 3:00 p.m., not the end of the day.

What happens to SIPs and other systematic transactions?

The circular separates the handling into two stages:

  • During the exit window: Existing SIP, XSIP, and SWP transactions in the Conservative scheme continue to be processed.
  • From November 10 on NSE MF Invest: Lump-sum inflows and outflows, including switches, and fresh SIP, STP, and SWP registrations are discontinued on the platform.
  • After close of business on November 13: The merging scheme ceases to exist, and registered SIP, XSIP, STP, and SWP transactions shift to the surviving Multi Asset scheme, according to the circular.

The circular does not describe the detailed conversion mechanics. Check the AMC’s merger notice and your account’s transaction records for how your registered instructions and holdings will be handled. For transactions through a channel other than NSE MF Invest, consult that channel’s own notice.

What should investors check before deciding?

A merger changes the scheme in which your investment is held; whether the surviving scheme suits you depends on its terms and on your own allocation and risk needs. Compare the current Multi Asset scheme documents with your objectives before deciding to stay, redeem, or switch.

  • Asset allocation and risk: The AMC’s page for the merging Conservative scheme describes an approach involving passive domestic and international equity, fixed income, and gold, and labels its scheme risk High. Those are descriptions of the Conservative scheme, not confirmation of the surviving scheme’s post-merger holdings or risk profile. See the Conservative scheme page.
  • Current terms of the surviving scheme: Review its current asset mix, benchmark, risk label, and costs in the latest Scheme Information Document (SID). The AMC’s document index lists a Multi Asset Passive FoF SID dated August 20, 2026, and a Conservative scheme SID dated May 29, 2026. Open the AMC’s SID index. The index confirms that these documents are listed; it does not establish the merger exchange ratio or the surviving scheme’s post-merger allocation.
  • Redemption or switch consequences: The circular’s no-exit-load window does not establish the tax treatment of a redemption or switch. Check the applicable tax consequences for your circumstances before acting.
  • Your transaction channel: The dates and platform restrictions described above come from an NSE MF Invest circular. Confirm any different process or cutoff with the platform or intermediary through which you transact.

What is not specified in the circular?

The circular’s timetable does not establish the exchange ratio, tax outcome, exact post-merger holdings or allocation, or account-specific handling. Do not infer those details from the Conservative scheme’s current webpage or from the AMC’s document index. Use the full merger notice and the latest SID for the surviving scheme for terms that affect your investment.
