monday.com is broadening its partner program from a route to sell software into a channel for AI implementation, workflow redesign, integrations and ongoing services. Announced at the company’s seventh annual partner summit in February 2026, the changes give solution providers more ways to earn revenue—and give customers more help, and more decisions, when adopting AI.

What monday.com announced

The expansion is a package of channel changes, not a single new AI feature. monday.com outlined AI-related partner incentives, an AI framework specialization, an AI-powered partner marketplace called Go-To-Partners, dedicated reseller and distribution programs, and the return of a partner advisory board. The company is also emphasizing implementation and professional services alongside software sales. CRN’s report on the announcement describes the summit and the commercial direction.

  • AI incentives: Partners may receive monetary rewards for selling monday.com AI products and encouraging customer adoption. monday.com has not publicly established the payout amounts, detailed eligibility rules or a universal formula for measuring results in the available announcement.
  • AI framework specialization: The program is intended to help partners position and validate their AI consulting capabilities. monday.com describes benefits including enablement, product-team access, recognition, and—in eligible cases—priority for leads or projects and potential market-development funds. See the official description of AI and service specializations. A program designation is not independent accreditation of a provider’s AI safety, security or overall competence.
  • Go-To-Partners: The marketplace replaces the prior partner-directory model with AI-assisted matching based on customer needs and partner capabilities. monday.com’s marketplace information describes its intended role. A match is a discovery aid, not a guarantee of quality or project success.
  • Reselling and distribution: monday.com is adding dedicated routes beyond its traditional revenue-share channel model. Program availability and terms depend on eligibility; the announcement does not establish that every reseller or distributor can participate.
  • Advisory board: The company plans to relaunch a board with 15 leading global partners to gather feedback on go-to-market and regional strategy, program performance and partner experience. That is a feedback channel, not a promise of equal influence for every partner.

Why AI makes implementation services more important

Adding an AI feature is not the same as making a business process work better. Useful automation depends on selecting a suitable task, structuring its data, connecting the right systems, setting permissions and approval points, and preparing staff to handle exceptions. monday.com’s broader platform spans work management, CRM and development workflows, with features such as AI assistants, agents, meeting notes, AI columns and workflow building; availability varies by product, plan and account. Its pricing page lists current product and plan information.

In practice, AI-assisted workflow automation might classify or summarize incoming requests, route work, draft status updates, capture meeting follow-ups or trigger actions across connected tools. These examples do not mean an agent should run a consequential process without oversight. Sensitive decisions need defined review points, access controls, exception handling and a way to identify and correct errors. CRN quoted a monday.com partner practice leader describing customer interest in AI embedded in operational workflows rather than switched on as a standalone feature; that is a partner’s account of demand, not evidence of guaranteed productivity gains.

Where partners can earn revenue

The commercial opportunity extends beyond subscription resale or referrals. monday.com’s authorized-partner program information describes selling, implementation, services and app building across its products. A provider’s actual offering and compensation depend on its agreement and customer contract; public materials do not establish universal margins or service fees.

  • Software sales: subscription resale or customer acquisition, subject to the partner’s program terms.
  • Project services: process design, implementation, migration, integration development and custom applications.
  • AI and adoption work: configuring AI-enabled workflows, permissions and governance; training users and managing organizational change.
  • Ongoing services: administration, troubleshooting, usage reviews and workflow optimization.

For partners, this can make services—not just license volume—the more durable part of a practice. For customers, it means the software subscription may be only one component of the project budget. monday.com says customers can work with partners on setup, integrations, workflow design, migration and training in its AI work-platform support guidance.

How to assess a Go-To-Partners recommendation

Matching by industry, business needs and capabilities may help narrow the search, but buyers should run their own procurement checks before choosing a provider. Ask for evidence tied to the work you need—not just a marketplace profile or specialization label.

  • References for projects in your industry and at a similar user count.
  • Demonstrated experience with the required integrations, data migration and exception handling.
  • A written scope covering deliverables, acceptance criteria, support, ownership of custom work and change requests.
  • Security and privacy practices, including permissions, data access and who can change or approve AI workflows.
  • Clear documentation and a handover plan so your team is not dependent on undocumented automations.
  • Comparable proposals that separate software charges, implementation fees and ongoing support.

What an AI workflow project should include

A useful implementation starts with the process and its success measure, not with a feature demo. For a partner or internal team, the work can be organized as follows:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Map the existing process: record inputs, decisions, handoffs, exceptions and outputs.
  2. Choose a narrow use case: begin with a measurable task such as intake triage, status reporting or meeting follow-up.
  3. Prepare the data: address duplicates, missing owners, inconsistent statuses and unclear access rights.
  4. Specify the workflow: define triggers, actions, AI steps, human approvals and escalation paths.
  5. Validate integrations: check permissions, API and connector limits, and what happens when a connected service fails.
  6. Pilot with a small group: compare results with a documented baseline before scaling.
  7. Set governance and train users: assign owners for changes and monitoring; explain what the system can and cannot do and how to correct mistakes.
  8. Measure and operate: track cycle time, manual effort, errors, exceptions, adoption and AI-credit use, then review failures and changing workflows regularly.

Budget for more than the seat price

monday.com’s work-management pricing page, checked August 18, 2026, displayed annual-billing prices of $9 per seat per month for Basic, $12 for Standard and $19 for Pro, alongside a Free plan for up to two seats and quote-based Enterprise pricing. The page says prices exclude tax and may vary by billing country; the figures are a dated snapshot, not a guaranteed quote. Seat count, product family, billing term and negotiated terms can affect the bill. See monday.com’s pricing page for current details.

AI can add another cost layer. monday.com’s pricing page lists plan-specific AI-credit allocations and the option to buy additional credits. Its support documentation says the current AI-credit model applies to customers joining the Work Platform on or after May 6, 2026; feature availability and consumption can vary by product and account date. Check the AI pricing-model guidance and AI feature catalog for the applicable account rules.

Automation, integration and API allowances also differ by plan, so a small pilot may not reveal the cost or capacity required at wider deployment. Enterprise pricing is quote-based and includes higher allowances and additional governance, permissions and support. Ask monday.com and the partner to model expected usage at your intended scale, including credit consumption, integration limits, services and ongoing administration. Partner fees are not standardized in the public program materials.

Risks partners and customers should manage

  • Automating a broken process: AI can make an inefficient workflow run faster without making its outcome better. Agree on a baseline and target before implementation.
  • Overstating partner credentials: Verify the exact specialization held by the provider; it is not proof of independent AI or security certification.
  • Misreading marketplace placement: Treat a match as a lead, then check references, security, scope and commercial terms.
  • Unreliable or exposed data: Poor data quality and weak permissions can produce incorrect outputs or expose information inappropriately.
  • Hidden operating dependencies: Specify who owns workflow edits, agent permissions, failures, usage monitoring, user support and retirement of automations after launch.
  • Incentives that favor adoption over outcomes: AI-linked rewards may encourage product use, but the public announcement does not show whether payouts are tied to measured customer ROI. Buyers should compare an AI approach with simpler process cleanup or conventional automation.
  • Inconsistent multi-region delivery: CRN reported that one partner’s monday.com activities across North America, Spain, the United Kingdom and Turkey had historically operated independently. Global customers should confirm that implementation standards, support coverage and governance will be consistent across regions.

When a partner is worth the cost

Outside help is most useful when implementation crosses departments or involves legacy migration, several integrations, complex approval chains, sensitive permissions, custom applications, AI agents, international rollout or limited in-house administration and training capacity. A customer should still require clear deliverables, knowledge transfer and a plan for ongoing ownership.

Internal setup may be enough for a small team building a straightforward task board with basic templates or notifications, few integrations and non-sensitive data—especially if it has a capable monday.com administrator. A paid partner can be unnecessary overhead if the workflow is simple and the team can configure, test and maintain it itself.

How to compare monday.com with other options

These products are evaluation alternatives, not interchangeable systems. The right comparison depends on whether the priority is project coordination, spreadsheet-style operations, a flexible data model, Microsoft integration or formal enterprise process governance.

Alternative Worth evaluating when…
Asana Project, task and portfolio coordination is the central need.
ClickUp The team wants a broadly consolidated workspace with substantial configuration options.
Smartsheet Spreadsheet-oriented planning, structured operations or portfolio management is important.
Airtable Flexible database-style workflows and lightweight custom operational applications are a priority.
Microsoft Power Automate The organization is already invested in Microsoft 365, Teams, Azure and Power Platform.
ServiceNow A large enterprise needs formal IT, employee or customer service workflows and extensive governance.

Compare integration depth, data structure, automation quotas, AI governance, administration, partner availability and total implementation cost. First establish whether the requirement is collaborative work management, a low-code application platform or enterprise process management; a feature checklist alone may obscure that distinction.

What the expansion means for buyers and partners

monday.com is trying to turn AI adoption into a repeatable partner-led services business, with the marketplace and specialization intended to connect customer demand to providers. Whether that works will depend less on AI labels than on delivery quality, responsible governance and demonstrable operational results. Partners need to show value beyond license sales; customers need to verify the provider, budget for usage and services, and judge success by process outcomes rather than feature adoption.
