How the promotion worked
Getting into the final draw
Eligible listeners were to hear a daily codeword on Mix94.5 Breakfast between 6am and 9am AWST, then call the station’s competition line after an on-air cue during the 9am–3pm workday period. A caller selected to participate on air had to relay the word correctly to receive an entry into the major draw. The terms limited entrants to one entry.

What is known about the outcome and odds?
RadioToday reported that the promotion received more than 400 entries. That is a reported campaign figure, not an independently audited count. It does not establish an individual entrant’s odds: the published figure does not provide a complete denominator of valid eligible entries, and the selection process involved both on-air participation and a later finalist draw. The promotion terms do not state formal odds.
Mix94.5 co-host Pete Curulli described it at launch as Perth-specific: “Somebody in Perth, and only in Perth, will have the chance to win this. This isn’t a national competition where you might get plucked out of the ether for a shot at winning, this is only for you, the people of Perth!” The launch preview also quoted co-host Kymba Cahill saying the prize could be “life-changing.” Those comments described the chance offered before the final, not the eventual outcome.
