No reliable public source establishes Milan Lucic’s net worth. Two salary databases estimate his NHL career earnings at roughly $74 million to $75 million, but those figures are compensation estimates—not a calculation of his wealth after taxes, expenses, investments, debts, or other assets and liabilities.
Is Milan Lucic’s net worth publicly known?
No substantiated net-worth figure appears in the sources reviewed. A net-worth calculation would require information about assets and liabilities that has not been publicly established here. A salary or career-earnings total cannot answer that question on its own.
What are the estimates of Lucic’s NHL career earnings?
Two secondary databases publish different estimates. Neither figure is an audited disclosure of Lucic’s personal wealth.
| Source | Published estimate | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| Puckpedia | $75.11 million | Estimated career earnings; the page does not establish this as net worth. |
| HockeyZonePlus | $73,843,305 | Estimated nominal career earnings. The site also gives an inflation-adjusted figure, which is a different measure. |
The totals differ, but the available pages do not provide enough methodological detail to reconcile them. Differences in the seasons or types of compensation counted, or in whether amounts are nominal or inflation-adjusted, can matter; the published estimates alone do not establish the reason for this gap.

What does Lucic’s final NHL contract tell us?
NHL.com reported that Lucic signed a one-year contract with Boston on July 1, 2023, worth $1 million, with up to $500,000 in performance-based incentives. That is the contract’s reported value and possible incentives—not a disclosure of the amount he took home or his net worth. The available sources also do not establish that he earned the maximum incentive amount.
How did Lucic’s NHL career end?
NHL.com reported in June 2026 that Lucic announced his retirement after 17 NHL seasons. The report credited him with 1,177 regular-season games and 586 points—233 goals and 353 assists—for Boston, Los Angeles, Edmonton, and Calgary. Read NHL.com’s retirement report.
In August 2025, NHL.com reported that he had signed a professional tryout agreement with St. Louis. A tryout agreement is not, by itself, a guaranteed salary contract. The same report said his last NHL appearance had been in 2023–24, when he recorded two assists in four games. Read NHL.com’s report on the tryout agreement.
In a retirement statement released by the NHL Players’ Association, Lucic said: “Looking back on my career, I feel truly grateful to have fulfilled my dream of playing professional hockey, culminating with a Stanley Cup win in 2011 with the Boston Bruins.” NHL.com attributed the statement to Lucic in its June 2026 retirement report.

Why career earnings are not the same as net worth
Career earnings describe money attributed to work or contracts over time. Net worth is the value of assets minus liabilities at a particular point. Converting one into the other would require reliable information about taxes, spending, investment gains or losses, debts, and other assets and liabilities. The salary estimates above do not supply that information, so they should not be presented as an estimate of Lucic’s current wealth.
