MEXC’s Q1 2026 report does not substantiate the claim that the exchange disclosed trading anomalies or reinforced market surveillance during the quarter. The report, published April 14, 2026, discusses business and product activity. A separate MEXC statement from January describes an investigation into alleged abnormal futures trading in the CIS region, but it does not establish the claimed Q1 disclosure or a new surveillance upgrade.
What MEXC’s Q1 report says
MEXC’s Q1 2026 Ecosystem & Growth Report, published April 14, 2026, covers platform growth and product expansion. The company reported 399 new token listings, 105 new Ondo tokenized stock pairs, and growth in TradFi futures. Those are company-reported business figures, not statistics about abnormal trading or surveillance performance.
The report does not describe a Q1 trading-anomalies disclosure or announce a reinforcement of market-surveillance controls. It therefore cannot, on its own, support the title’s central claim.
What MEXC separately reported in January
In a statement dated January 26, 2026, MEXC said it investigated abnormal futures trading in the CIS region and identified a coordinated group of 138 users operating more than 1,500 accounts. The exchange described activity including self-trading, spoofing, layering, disruptive algorithmic trading, and market manipulation.

MEXC said it restricted access to identified accounts, verified violations, set rollback timelines using transaction data, implemented necessary transaction rollbacks, and began evaluating restriction periods. These are the exchange’s own account of its investigation and actions; the statement is not independent verification of the findings.
The January statement is relevant background on MEXC’s enforcement activity, but its date and regional scope matter: it is not evidence that MEXC made the alleged Q1 disclosure or announced a new surveillance system. Read the January 26 statement in that context.

What MEXC’s trading policy prohibits
MEXC’s prohibited transactional activities policy lists examples such as unauthorized automated methods, order-book manipulation, self-trading, wash trading, spoofing, layering, front-running, evasion of position limits, and improper arbitrage. It says potential measures may include account suspension, restriction or termination, forfeiture of gains, and referral to authorities.
A policy explains what the exchange prohibits and what it may do; it does not prove that a particular account or person violated those rules. Likewise, the existence of enforcement language is not proof of a newly introduced surveillance control.

What remains unverified
The available primary materials do not establish a Q1 anomaly rate, trade count, loss estimate, or surveillance-performance metric. Nor do they specify a new market-surveillance system or control change tied to the alleged disclosure. Without a dated primary announcement describing the change and its scope, the claim that MEXC reinforced surveillance during Q1 remains unverified.
A third-party page using the title wording surfaced in search results, but its contents could not be checked. Its appearance is not confirmation of the underlying claim.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to assess a future MEXC surveillance claim
Look for a primary announcement and check the details that distinguish an investigated incident from a policy or a product update:
- Source and date: Is it an official MEXC statement, a policy page, or third-party coverage, and when was it published?
- Period and geography: Does it specify when the activity occurred and which markets or region were involved?
- Finding or rule: Does MEXC report an investigated finding, or merely describe conduct its policy prohibits?
- Control change: Does it say what surveillance measure changed and when, rather than simply describing enforcement?
- Evidence and attribution: Are figures attributed to MEXC, independently corroborated, or supported by a stated measurement method?
Until those details are available, keep the January CIS-region enforcement account separate from the Q1 growth report and avoid treating either as proof of the missing Q1 anomaly disclosure.
